I just saw the announcement that changes to the forums are coming, and I thought maybe we should combine the technical reports and TSW3 launch feedback sections, because often I find myself not sure where to put any issues I find. Eventually, I selected the technical reports section because it was there originally, but I still feel like having two separate locations to provide reports is a little bit inefficient. I know there was a thread earlier regarding not closing this thread because issues are still not resolved, but I liked having the issues kept in one place so maybe we could have TSW3 launch feedback as a subforum of Technical Reports? This way the issues posted here are preserved, but they are all under one place. It isn't the best idea, but I can't think of anything else apart from deleting either the technical reports section or this one. What are your thoughts?
The launch of TSW3 is over now so any reports can go in the tech reports section as usual and I suspect the TSW3 launch sub will cease to be a separate forum when the changes take place. As some bugs and issues tend to linger for a very long time there will still be things outstanding from the TSW3 launch feedback when TSW4 releases but bug reports should all be in the one place.
I agree that the TSW launch feedback sub- forum's days are numbered, but there are problems with the Technical Reports section. Firstly, its name scares some people off. A more plain English title such as " Bug Reports " would be preferable. Secondly, I think many posters avoid it because they don't believe the mods pay attention to what's reported in there. They believe, rightly or wrongly, that the mods mostly read the PC, PS and Xbox forums, and that's where they generally respond to player problems. It's all a matter of perception. Best solution: Conflate the platform sub- forums into one with optional labels and have a " Bug Reports " forum for what were previously called technical issues.
