On console, unfortunately, you can't really talk about sale. It is very limited and the most useful version, TSW 3 Deluxe Edition, is excluded. DLC is not available at a lower price.
Well the deluxe editon was on sale on Xbox earlier this month. You could have bought it for the price of the standard edition. I agree that the sales on consoles (xbox for me) is very limitied indeed in comparison with PC/Steam. I also don't understand why there's a 30% discount on PS and on Xbox for the same content 20%.
Depends on Sony and microsoft since they decide the sales i believe. And whatever their rules are regarding sales. All platforms are different in how they handle sales
To be fair there is quite a bit on the ps store. I see Dresden-Chemnitz is £13 so I might go for that. I don’t have loads of DLC so there might be more choice for me.
Yeah there is. I was still missing a few legacy routes, and speak of the devil two of them were in the sale. Arosa and Harlem routes. £13.49 each. I see the horseshoe curve too, but that doesn’t interest me. I’m loving Arosa, it’s slow, but at times it feels like I’m on a rollercoaster or ghost train going through the tunnels. Having tried the Harlem line yet. If it’s anything like the Long road island route then I’m sure I’ll enjoy it too.
Looking at the Xbox sales and I am wondering if it's worth it to get the Dispolok 182 F7 Santa Fe and RHTT or not?
I think most value for money is the rhtt if you really want to get something. It has new freight cars and wagons and different variations of the rhtt equipment. It'll add to sehs and bcc and future uk routes where appropriate during the fall months. The other 2, I wouldn't really recommend solely based on reviews and issues they have. F7 having no banking comm and being underpowered in some services and it pulls modern freight equipment so if that's a huge immersion breaker for you, then stay away. Dispolok 182 also has its own issues regarding afb and safety systems, etc. It's got new physics and new paint that subs into most German routes but it's nothing really amazing. I can't tell you what to buy but if you're just going for value for money, rhtt. If you just want shiny "new" locomotives with new paint, then you can get all 3 if you really want. A plus is you don't need the base route to run them. So you don't need hamburg lubeck for instance to get a 182 to layer onto other routes. Just get the dispolok one and there you go.
For a bundle, it is worth it money wise, but if you look at it quality wise, it may not be. After all, comes down to you and whether you think the locos themselves are worth it. Note that I only have the rhtt just cuz the other 2 had really negative review on steam and I wasn't interested in those, so I don't have first hand experience using them. If you want 2 or all of the locos, definitely get the bundle. If you only want 1, just get 1.
I went for the Bundle on the last day of the sale. Then installed the Dispolok 182 on the Xbox version of TSW 3. Took me 3 or 4 times to spawn the 182 on Bremen Oldenburg
