Im literally here right now, but i leave it to the OP to highlight the route it self, even if he not even was capable of give his suggestion a route apropriate name.. Well i rather want to describe why it should be developed, looking close it would be a unique opportunity gameplaywise. The route follows from locarno over lugano to chiasso, which is the southern part of tessin switzerland. There you cross the border going into italy over como, monza to milano centrale. The trip takes a bit more than 1.5 hours and 10-15mins waiting time in chiasso at the border. The really special thing beside crossing a border is the huge amount of variety in services passenger & freight. Following pics are made within 2 minutes 10mins ago: -You have the tilo RE services from locarno to milano driven usually by the stadler flirts - the ec eurocity from zürich to milano stopping at lugano, chiasso, como, monza & milano centrale (ec250 stadler). - local services to como (stadler flirts tilo) - local Trenord services from chiasso to milano centrale. Freight traffic i have seen everything possible, swiss re 6/6 and re 4/4 locos, re484, all 4 panto DB traxx locos, 4 panto vectrons. This Route doesnt need a network as the huge amount of services makes the variety, but currently all the stock is missing in tsw, even the stadler flirts are not the same as the one from Rivet. Also centrale would be empty. Thats a beast of a station... (same for chiasso), making all that would probably the best time if they really consider making more routes for italy.
When really considering going with italy as a country in tsw, this might have potential. But as one time route without additional stock its kind of pointless.
