as a suggestion i was wondering if it is at all possible to add the woodhead line to tsw3. i reckon the old 76 and 77 class locomotives would look really good in unreal engine 4.

In tsc, there are 2 versions of the woodhead route. One in br blue and the other being an older era i belive

Here are the descriptions from tsc. Woodhead electric in blue. The route was set in the 1970s and it came with:
43 miles btwn manchester picadilly and sheffield victoria
3 mile branch to reddish depot
    1 mile branch to glossop
    14 mile branch to wath.

Rolling stock: class 08, 76, 506, mk1 coaches, 21 ton coal hopper, brake van, 33 ton hopper, 16 ton mineral wagon, general utility van.

    Woodhead
This version came only with a class 76, 08 and the 8f steam locomotive.
It was 60 miles long and ran from manchester picadilly to sheffield branch with the wath branch and the woodhead tunnels.

One thing that makes the line unique is the 3 woodhead tunnels with the 3rd one being used for electrification. There are steep gradients (don't know how much) and several tunnels along the line. The route ran on 1500V DC rather than the usual 25kv AC which made it easier to use regenerative braking.

The route was closed in 1970 and I don't think it has been running for a while

as far as I know, hardly any of the Woodhead route actually remains. TSC players also got the GT3 as DLC for the Woodhead route. If (and thats a big if) we got the Woodhead route into TSW3, would could also have the GT3 aswell. If its possible to produce the locomotive for TS and OO Gauge then I don't why DTG shouldn't produce it.

Yes to this suggestion as long as it includes the Class 76, 77 and 506 and all relevant branch lines.

Bring it on and for Class 77 it can get the Dutch Railways colours and is the paint suited as a museum train for Eindhoven Venlo Monchengladbach Dusseldorf Bremen Osnabruck Bad Bentheim Hengelo & Duisburg Oberhausen Utrecht via Emmerich am Rhein Bahnhof pre-2016. A Woodhead line-owner plus German Dutch cross-border routes mentioned above if made for TSW 3 and Bremen Oldenburg will see a class 77 museum train using the NS1500 paint colours get swapped for a DB BR110.3 onwards to Bremen Duisburg and Dusseldorf from the 15kv 16.7hz 1.5kv DC border stations

I first heard and saw all this today while watching a 323 cab ride to hadfield and golossop, hadfield being where the line now terminates

I quite liked the older era Woodhead DLC, with the line in it's full glory. Never really was a fan of the BR Blue version. Although the trains were nice, with half of the stations closed down, I just found little joy in driving the line. I guess it's more focused on the freight trains and less about commuter runs.

I'd like to see the Woodhead make a reappearance in TSW, but only if it's the route in its full glory, with all stations being in service. So, not the BR Blue era, I guess...

Totally agree with that. A rather unique line now lost to history. As stated above, we need the complete route with all branches in full and Class 76, 77 and 506 power.
