Speculate away, my thoughts Scottish route with class 385 also note the title ‘something new’ something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue
I mean I would rather that plus now you say that the headlights are more of a rectangle shape not a long pill like shape
Judging by how the front doesn’t look slanted to me (like the class 380) I would agree it appears to resemble the class 385. though I will add and agree that the PIS seems to resemble more of the 380 I’ll keep expectations in check but I’m intrigued by both either way.
Looks like a steamlights style rail tour? I was wondering if it would be something like that but with release after Christmas I thought it would be something else! Always up for more steam though!
So I hope Haymarket and Waverley stations include AI to Dublane,Alloa,Dumbarton Central, queen street via,Shotts, via Cumbernald, class43 to cardenden. Wow this could be great
BEST DLC EVER!!!! by TSW Nathan posted Dec 21, 2022 at 4:41 PM Class 385! Jasper has said enough to tell us that it will be one of the Edinburgh to Glasgow routes and that the Class 385 will have a gaurds pannel. Which route do you think it will be? I think it will be Edinbrugh to Glasgow via Falkirk High
Would love the Stirling/ Dunblane/Alloa branch..or Edinburgh to Glasgow via Cumbernauld...bit more Freight , if included.
Nope. Nothing's been announced. We might get an article in 2023 but until that happens, no way to know
You could be right. I'm hoping that they have both included. If not it narrows down what we might see. They usually have two sets of 385/1 on the Glasgow queen street to Edinburg via falkirk high route. The one set of 385/1 are usually found on Cumbernauld and Dunblane lines.
The station in that video is Linlithgow. The lift matches up with pictures found on Google. There’s a good possibility that it is the full route between Waverley and Glasgow as it’s not even 45 miles which TSW can handle easily. I work trains out of Waverley so it’ll be interesting to see how empty the station will be in TSW. Sure 70% of services are ScotRail out of Waverly but there’ll be a few empty platforms with having no Lumo, TPE, LNER, Avanti and XC.
I saw a video from 2019 from Edinburgh park station. So I saw 3,4,6,7, and 8 car formation for the 385. So the 385 and 385/1 coupled together. I even saw the 385111.
Looking forward to seeing both varients! Means this will be the first route in TSW to have two varients of the same train! Also mean you can have 7 car services between Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Do we know when rivet will annoce the route officially as DTG said it will be before next year (2023) and rivet has only posted a video.
Oh well give me 7 minutes and I will be able to say the same. Whereabouts in the world are you? Happy New Year!
Happy new year, everyone! I think we’ll be getting an announcement within the next few days, as soon as the Rivet employees return to work. As was already mentioned above, the plan a few weeks ago was to make a full announcement in 2022. But plans changed… I guess DTG had the idea to tease multiple DLCs as part of the end-of-year article and asked Rivet to push back their route announcement slightly.
I was trying to figure out what location is on tha picture. Also I noticed that the locos looked to be on the wrong sides according to the headlights and tail lights showing
Do take it with a pinch of salt as this is based on me remembering seeing something in another thread.
I speculated that the video showed the west end of Waverley on the Rivet Games video on Facebook. They all but confirmed I was correct and they said “still leaves the question where we’re going” I’m sticking my neck out and saying Glasgow. Edited east for west. My geography sucks.
It was already basically 100% confirmed, but Rivet liked my tweet about including the two different Class 385 variants, so we know that’s happening for sure now!
Im hoping they include Grangemouth logistics center for freight services, SCM3 main line, and PMT Edinburgh to Dunblane to at least Larbert. We can dream can we?
That would indeed be very nice. Rivet’s studio is quite close to that area, so perhaps they‘ve included all these lines as obtaining references shouldn’t be too hard. Would provide lots of passenger service options for the different variants of the 385 and also a nice start- and endpoint for freight operations. Still holding onto the small chance we might be getting the Bo‘ness heritage line. If they don’t include that, perhaps they can still include its small station right next to the mainline, put an AI steam loco there in timetable mode and let us use the halt as a stopping point in scenario planner… would be a nice detail without too much work.
I hope they include the Falkirk Grahmston Line as well because it runs alongside the Falkirk High line. Maybe even the line to Stirling and Alloa. If they include that then there is the potential for a Class 380 DLC! (Although we said that with Cathcart and nothing has happened with that, so...)
hopefully it’ll be edinburgh to glasgow via falkirk high including branches to dunblane and alloa via stirling if we’re lucky
Let's hope we get a similar route that looks like the TSC below. It includes Grangemouth,Larbert,Camelon, Falkirk Grahamston. Another extra would be Glasgow/Edinburgh via Cumbernauld and Falkirk Granhamston
an exact copy of the TSC route map would be amazing, but even if it is only Edinburgh- Glasgow via Falkirk High i’ll be happy
