I don't think there's a way to activate the passenger coach lights from the BR143 cab. You can do so from the 767.2 cab at the other end of the train, but you have to go there to do it.

You only asked about the BR143 specifically, so you may already know this, but there's a "Coach Lights" switch on the 767's center desk panel. It requires you first start "Train Line Power" on the left desk panel. There's also a wall panel control in each passenger car, which again requires train line power be turned on. I made screen shots for each, just in case.

I also don't see any way to change the tail marker lights remotely on the M7 except to go there and turn them on. That's actually the first thing the devs themselves did in their LIRR launch livestream this week.

Hopefully, if there is some way I've missed to do these two things, someone else will post.

Sure you can switch the lights from the BR143 cab on, there are two switches on the desk. One for the train line power supply and one for the coach lights. They are on the left side of the desk.

Left from the train lights switch is the train line power switch:

I'd tried that switch before I first posted. It didn't turn on the passenger coach lights for me.

Just tried it again, figuring perhaps I'd forgotten to throw that Train Line Power switch first. I first made sure to raise pantograph, and close the MCB also. But still no coach lights. Is there another prerequisite?

Let us know how you make out HankWang . I tried what Daniel Bloch suggested, but it doesn't work for me. I can still only turn on the lights from the other end.

I was wondering if Daniel actually tested it himself before posting, but he never replied again. So I'm very curious to know if you can make it work. I certainly could have missed something else.

Kojo62 you are right, i testet it now several times... only the train line power switch works but not the lights switch. Then you can switch it on from the coaches.

Ah ok ... thanks Daniel for the follow-up.
Maybe we can hope for a future patch, then. They did finally patch the BR143 desk light this time around, so you never know about next time. ;)

Yes, Mkdog45 there's a virtual button in the left-side monitor for that.
But you should probably start your own thread for this question under its own subject, so others can also find it and benefit from it later.

Mkdog45 I just tested it, and it works 100%. Make sure you have turned the Master Key to "ON" first, or the controls will not work.

My original advice stands. No one else is likely to find your question here in this unrelated thread about the BR143. Probably post in the PS4 section too.
