A Long Island legend is coming soon, see the first screens of the LIRR M3 for Train Simulator Classic. Read More : LIRR M3 Coming Soon! (dovetailgames.com)
This is awesome. Peeped this in the New Years Screen posted on the social media. This is much needed. Also, hopefully at the same quality as the M2.
Talking about TSW, I find it funny that this TSC rendition of the route seems to include whistle posts, while the TSW version is missing them altogether. Both are a DTG route, are they not? Are the TSW route builders just this careless compared to the TSC team?
This is awesome news. Definitely looking forward to this add on. Hopefully with this, the devs fixed the low fps issue with the LIRR route
Have to agree with you here, the low fps issue wasn't addressed in the patch they did for this route. I don't have another route with such bad fps as this one does tbh. I like the LIRR and might get this add on loco!
If it's the ported model there are two versions Metro-North and LIRR. Otherwise it would have simply recycled Northeast Corridor New York Penn Station New Haven Connecticut M2 then remove the Pantograph a Transtech design
I just tried the route on my new computer, supringly, the LIRR scenarios are running at 45-60fps for me. I have a feeling this route requires a high performing CPU/GPU in order to run smoothly in it's current state, but it might not be optimized because most TS routes should run smoothly on alot of systems
With the M3 releasing soon, I wonder if this is any indication that the Harlem Line at some point may arrive in TSC, since TSW3 while having the LIRR M3, also has the nearly identical M3A
Good point And here's the thing it will merge with the Hudson line North East corridor New York City New Haven and Morristown North Jersey Coast Lines by having the Common Origin Point as NY Penn Station and Grand Central Terminal.
Hopefully this is hinting that TSW 3 will also get the Hudson Line and New Haven Line along with the NJT Route this year as well.
You know this forum is the TSC forum right? Please keep the forum on topic ie TSC related, we don't post about TSC on the TSW forum so please offer us the same courtesy.
What happend with the stream that should have been about the M3 yesterday ? Is there another channel I missed somehow ? Edit : finally found it, for sole reason on my phone the last stream wasnt showing..
So far, the M3 is good. The M2 that was released a few years ago has more detail than the LIRR M3 that was just released, but none the less, it is definitely a welcome addition to the LIRR route, and I am enjoying the scenarios on the LIRR with the M3
