This is one of the most well known growlers but it's but it's fallen behind alot. Why do I say full rebuild? well because from what i noticed the one in Train Simulator Classic with the payware expansions they have numerous fitouts with a mix of modern equipment and basic. The sound system has to be done up again to have that actuall constant growl. Special effects would be cold starts with clagg, smoke trails, black smoke, dynamic smoke. Would blend in well with this extreme weather going on, on the cold days in the winter. This makeover would aim to replace all 37's once purchased and add some new scenarios to show off the cold starts. The unit generally shows some genuine struggle to get the engine going even when its not cold. Fun to watch.
I agree with you somewhat. I don't believe that they need a full rebuild but their sounds could be updated and they could be updated visually with stuff like clag. If the 20s can have proper clag in game, why can't the 37.. lets hope that if/when they finally decide to bring the 55 and/or the 50 to TSW3 that the clag is realistic to the class..
This would need a programming overhaul, so pretty close to a rebuild anyway... With regards to the issue of clag etc I would hope DTG would speak to AP and look at how they've done random clag and noise settings in their recent (ie last two year's) packs... Having some randomness in the train's workings would be brilliant
