Hi all, I have downloaded Martins BHBP and I'm currently going through the list of requirements. With regards to the JT Bristol-Exeter and the Steam Bristol-Cardiff requirement I already own the JT WML Complete Collection with all of the SW routes from PAD to PEN These include the routes from Bristol-Cardiff/Exeter so are these ok to use? Also the VP grass pack version isn't stipulated so do I take it that as the link in the instructions doesn't exist it will be the legacy version 2 or 3? And lastly do I take it that the ATS OHLE is an essential for the route, I suppose 12.99 is a fair price for the amount of variety that is in the pack but how many scenarios/routes outside of those on his site will use these assets? Many thanks as always guys
Not sure what "Martins BHBP" is - or where to find it? Not sure what you mean by "These include the routes from Bristol-Cardiff/Exeter so are these ok to use?" If you looked at any route in Contents it would be a track map. It then calls for Assets to be placed at different places on that map. But if the Assets are in say JT/Bristol-Exeter and yours are in JT/WML then they won't appear in the route. There is no OHLE between Bristol TM and Exeter. The nearest is at Bristol Parkway. The OHLE from ATS is used on a number of routes - WCML Missing Link, Chat Moss and Leeds lines. You will need to run it thru TS Tools to see what is missing
It's Berks and Hants to Bristol and Penzance merge. It basically covers all of the SW routes inc branch lines and it's headed ( I believe) by Martin Masterson I have JT complete SW collection which merges all of their SW line packs into one giant route. The JT routes include Bristol to Cardiff and Bristol to Exeter. I know these routes were separate when they were first released but I'm sure that JT didn't release brand new versions just to make a merged route so surely they would contain the same assets as the older separate versions?. The difference in The BHBP route is that it merges the SW Expressways with the rest of the SW network and the final piece will be the link from Paddington to Reading. The plan is to make it as up to date as it is today and it will cover Paddington to Penzance and have every branch line included.
If you have the Western Mainlines collection and it includes Bristol-Exeter than that should be fine. However, I don't think BHBP uses the JT Bristol - Cardiff and instead uses a now obsolete route (South Wales Coastal) that can only be obtained through buying copies of Train Simulator 2017 through resale sites. I'm unsure about the grass pack by VP but for the ATS OHLE, it will be required if you want all the OHLE assets. Other 3rd party routes may also require the ATS OHLE.
1) All the requirements in the BHBP .pdf are links, click them, if you own it in Steam then it will say "In Library" instead of a purchase price, with the JT stuff click the link in the .pdf and then compare it with your purchased items in your account, if you ain't got it you need to buy it. 2) VP grass kit - just get the latest version 3) If you want OHLE buy the ATS OHLE pack, if you want milk bottles along the track don't buy the ATS OHLE.. (As for is it essential, well, only you can decide that)
It's worth noting that the "High Speed Tracks" Facebook (the creators of BHBP) say that they will release V3 shortly. It might be worth waiting until they release that until you install.
Ok thanks guys, I own the SW Coastal branded and all of the Steam stuff, just wondered about the JT stuff and I'll get the ATS OHLE ass it is used by a few routes (And no one likes milk bottles for scenery)
