I would love to see some Narrow Gauge railway addons. The Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland, or the Dajeeling railway would make a good route. DTG Matt could this be possible, or would the mountains make it difficult?
Anything is possible as long as they have the license for it. Although there are numerous other reasons affecting route choice, length, etc.
We already have the Arosa Line, which is both narrow gauge and mountaineous, so I suspect it's possible :P
The Cumbres and Toltec, Durango and Silverton, and White Pass and Yukon routes would be my three choices for narrow gauge lines in the US.
TBH, TSW3 is currently lacking in Welsh routes so a narrow gauge route like the Ffestioniog Railway, Welsh Highland Railway or the Talyllyn Railway could be a brillant way to introduce Wales to the game.
Combined Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland would be great. Licencing probably the biggest issue and of course any heritage railway may have concerns that having a digital representation of their route might encourage people to stay at home and just use that rather than visit. Then again, they would probably get a nice kickback from each sale so... The other fly in the ointment is that steam traction still needs refinement in TSW and narrow gauge and oil firing, as predominant on the FR, would set new challenges.
How about Zentralbahn Luzern Interlaken combines Narrow gauge adhesion with rack railway sections? Japanese Nagoya Tonkoname Line and Kyoto to Kansai Airport Haruka
There is a NG station with yard in Nahverkehr Dresden. It's located Radebeul Ost. All it needs is some rolling stock and make the line full length.
