Hello everyone After the patch was released it appears the gangway doors are broken. I’ve tried every type of service and it seems they are all broken no matter the place of origin. It does not happen to AI services, only player. To try and reproduce this. Select any service in the menu that is operated by a 377/4. Spawn in. The gangway doors will be open at the rear of the train. I play on PS5.
Oh dear. This only affected a couple of services on the 377 on London Commuter, but if it is now all of them like you say then this is an issue.
I’ve tried most type of services at Victoria and loaded in at Brighton and happens there, the worst part is you can close them yourself you press on the doors and they do nothing.
Yes I hated that bug. Thank goodness it was only on the back of the consist because then I could just look at the front all day. Could be an issue if I ever decide to change ends...
Also noticing this on every 377 service , rear gangway door is open at the back of the train and cannot be closed, since last patch! Playing on PC.
I also tried selecting from the timetable The rear through door is fully open The play environment is a PC.
I just tried on xbox one s 377/4 doors closed on rear also can still open/close manualy. So is this just suppose to be pc only problem?
As far as I know, the issue has been there since launch. When you load a service, there is a chance you will hear a very loud "clunck" that sounds like a coupling. Then you head to the back of the train to find the rear door is already opened. If it is closed then you are fine, but if it is open then you will not be able to close it. I haven't had it on every service, but there are quite a few, and it seems to be random.
Appears to be a problem on every 377 London commuter service I’ve tried . Also when changing ends after a service , the gang way doors remain open on the now front of the train! Hopefully they can patch this problem soon!
im glad i saw this thread i thought i broke it. i noticed it when doing a sellhurst depot service i never did before i went to switch cabs and close it and it was stuck open then i noticed every service after that had the rear door open and locked.
I did raise a ticket for it which they closed to add to the bug investigation pile. I think this may be standard practice so guess the more tickets people raise the better. This used to be a random bug then I think went away and after the latest patch it came back and now applies to all class 377 services on London Commuter but not Eastcoastway. As it thankfully doesn't apply to AI the only way round it I have found for now is to start in walking mode and take over an AI service. But it is critical that it has become an AI train before you do otherwise the fault comes back. So basically if you want to drive a 377 on a service departing Victoria at 10 go set your explore on foot to be 0955 and then wonder round until you find your train. Thankfully the departure boards are a big help . Then wait outside the cab until the service activates (ie: headlights come on and destination blind set). Then enter the cab and take over the service. A bit cumbersome but I suppose is also a bit more realistic ! If you take over too early the rear doors will still open when the time comes.
Noticed this yesterday when changing ends at Reigate. The outer yellow doors remains open. You can shut the inner white doors manually though.
