I apologise in advance if this question has been asked before (I'd be surprised if it hasn't!)

Are there any plans to port TSC to the Mac (either M1/M2 or Intel)?

FWIW, I've tried going the route of using WINE, but my poor Mac isn't fast enough for the game to be playable. The same is true for virtualisation. Also, installing Windows on newer Macs is no longer an option since Apple transitioned from Intel.

I didn’t even realise it wasn’t available for the Mac!

Always assume it's not on the Mac until proven otherwise ;)

I can confirm that Train Simulator 20xx and subsequent has never been available on Mac OS. I bought a PC solely for the purpose of the game access (way back). Macs are superb graphic machines but are no good when there ain't no software!!

I'm using Codeweavers Crossover and TSC works fine on an M1 Mac on medium settings. M2 you could probably get high settings.

Thanks for confirming. I'm on a much older Intel Mac and it doesn't have the power to get TSC running at a reasonable frame rate under Crossover. Good to know it's probably going to be fine when I upgrade to an M2.

As for plans for a Mac port, it's not going to happen. The demand for games on Mac is just so small that nobody bothers, even though newer M-chip Macs are more than capable of running games. Some games like The Sims, Kid A Mnesia and No Man's Sky have been ported to Mac but they are some of the exceptions.
