I'm not sure if I can directly say which one it is, but it shouldn't take too much imagination to figure out which sub would be most likely to have TSW leaks...

I think they'll talk more about upgrades coming to tsw, add stuff to the roadmap and talk about bugs or something. Most of the dlc being announced in the summit stream has been on the roadmap. Acela, us route, us enhancement pack, niddertalbahn.

 

If it was really a concern. You would expect the person to get sacked due to breaking NDA.

More pertinent is a rough timescale on releases, so I can plan my furtive trips around the few local supermarkets that still sell Steam gift cards! (Asda stopped selling them before Xmas, which leaves Sainsburys and Wilco locally). Are we going to get 5 or 6 new products in the space of a couple of months, or will they drip feed throughout the year? It will obviously "peak" with the one I'm mostly interested in but the other stuff is pretty much Day 1 material, too.

 

From the leaks there’s a train that will make a comeback and is really awaited as well

 

There's several videos that show off a bit of audio, walkarounds, gameplay. There's also screenshots for some of the content. The videos are running from the editor so there's going to be some performance hits

 

I am rather chuffed about this one as well and have said no to watching ''forest'' with my old mate to watch this today.

 

I have cancelled the usual Sunday evening trip to the mother-in-law’s for a big roast dinner especially to watch the stream live. This has nothing to do with our car being in the garage for repairs and said mother-in-law’s car needing a clutch repair as well, it’s definitely just for the trains. Instead of tucking into roast chicken, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, peas, carrots and gravy, and an apple crumble for dessert, I’ll be having chicken dippers and potato waffles (from the children’s menu selection that is my half of the freezer) with no pudding, then settling down for some quality train surprises and possibly making daft comments in the live chat. Does life get any better than this?

 

With a tray of Mr Kipling ******** Tarts and ****** Mineral Water to hand.

I do have one genuine question that I doubt will be picked up in time and I'm not sure if the stream is live but here goes

With all the recent feedback about what has needed development , and with all the fixes the mod community did within a week what are DTG planning to ensure these same things don't need modding and we're not getting single loco routes?

 

The summit video is a pre record by the looks of it but I think JD is monitoring the stream through the evening.

 

I'm pretty sure you won't get an answer to either question, but it's a safe bet that:

1. There is going to be work for the modders for all future routes.

2. One-train routes are the norm from now on, like it or lump it.
(I'd love to be surprised later today).

I am confused by the new Peak Forest route. Just Trains are bringing this to TSC I thought.

Or is this the Just Trains offering for TSW3, if not it’s a bit strange to have two publishers working on the same route for TSC and TSW3!!!

I am also surprised that Leicester Derby Nottingham is being designed by Skyhook as Just Trains recently brought this to TSC!!!

 

Modders will always make a route better even if the route was excellent. benefits of pc users

Regarding #2:
NYP to trenton comes with the alp46, acs64 and the amfleet cab car
MML comes with the vp185 class 43 and 158
Mainz to Koblenz comes with the 103, 110 and nwagen cab car
Peak Forest has the 4f, jubilee and 8f. Don't know if they are layers or part of the route

 

It's a dtg route

 

Just Trains already have the extant line from Derby to Matlock for TSC plus the Hope Valley Line . I think their route in development covers Hazel Grove to Buxton and has a link to connect with the Hope Valley line. It doesn't cover the discontinued bit between Matlock and Buxton as far as I know and probably won’t as it is set in the present day.

 

I am more excited for the Acela and the two German routes than the UK routes. When I saw the hints of a steam route through the Peak district I was very excited and I even wondered if it would be the complete Derby to Manchester route, instead it starts at a junction station where many of the trains don't even call. The other UK route seems an illogical choice of start and end points, Sheffield is the terminus of most trains north of Leicester not Derby. The 158 will be nice though.

 

Don't short change the modders like londonmidland and what they have accomplished.

And, on closer examination, I think you'll find that there are fewer brand new trains than you indicate.

I do think that today's announcements are exciting. I'm particularly impressed by the US content, although most of it was anticipated.

I'm a little disappointed with the choice of loco for the UP pack, but the liveries are interesting.

The improvements to Sherman and BPE are very welcome, as, of course, is the introduction of the Acela.

 

Did they mention whether or not JT are working with Skyhook? If not then I’m utterly, properly baffled. I fear that Skyhook alone will mean what TSW gets will be a pale imitation of the MML in TSC which, yet again, is not how it’s meant to be.

After all the work, research and effort JT put into that route to have the initial part of it done by someone else before they’re even at the table seems like a bit of a kick in the teeth. Even if they later bring extensions to the party they are coming off a base that they didn’t build and have no control over. Bizarre IMHO.

 

They didn't mention Just Trains that I heard. Maybe JT are working on a route somewhere completely different, although I assume part of the MML was likely going to be their first release.

 

Me too. Without sounding like a broken record this seems like a really odd set of circumstances to say the least.

 

I'm absolutely pleased by what I have seen sofar! I'm Dutch but the most hyped on the shortest term for the NJT route and the Acela. I love the sound off the ALP-46 and how it looks! The Acela is also really nice. On the longer term I'm hyped by the 103 it looks gorgeous and I love the older time period where this route is build. So I can only say... There is coming nice new things in 2023!!

 

Just my opinion. It may not be new, but variations to it or brought back from the dead (amfleet cab car). It's not a one train route like bcc or edn which people complained about.

 

I hope the Amtrak cab car was really improved from its first release on TSW OG

 

The BR 103 is going to be the star of all the things announced. Lots of other nice things to look forward to but that loco is just so gorgeous and interesting.
