This suggestion is for the upcoming Ambergate - Buxton/Chinley route set in the early 1960s. This pack would include a Class 45 with central headcode boxes and Class 101 with a headcode display, both in BR Green. Class 45 The BR Class 45 is already included in TSW3 as a part of the Northern Trans-Pennine route (a fact I am sure many users are aware of). However, this pack would offer a slightly different version of the ‘Peak’ locomotive, as it would come equipped with central headcode boxes and a BR Green paint job. The loco would run passenger services using the same MK1 coaching stock included in Liverpool - Crewe (the coaches would be included with this pack). It would also be great to give the peak a chance to run up one of the routes it would have originally travelled on when new. Class 101 Also included in this pack would be the Class 101 in BR Green. Although the 101 has been released in a lot of DLC packs already, it has not yet been released in it’s earlier guise of BR green. The 101 would run local passenger services along the line and would also include the original headcode box that many members of the class had plated over. Overall I think this pack would add an extra layer of detail and playability to what will hopefully be a superb route, while also filling the gap in the TSW market of mainline BR green diesels
The Blue Pullman would be a good DLC but the idea of this pack is that it uses stuff already in the game just in a slightly different form. Similar to the Great Western Legends pack. Good idea though as the Blue Pullman did run along the route in its heyday
Yes a million times. I appreciate that the Blue Pullman would be somewhat difficult to create with absolute authenticity due to the fact that there are no survivors but surely it is a worthwhile project, especially if you consider that the NBL engines in these units, plus the Class 21, 22, 41 and 43 were the same or very similar types and could therefore be reused in multiple dlc locomotives. The Blue Pullman would also be layerable into DLOGW as 1971 was a suitable period for seeing them between Paddington and Reading albeit in the reverse Blue/Grey livery akin to the prototype HST.
Excellent idea and if this were to be made for the route you would probably end up getting them later to the 1980s route. On your achievements list you will find out that they are actually tracking for the other existing versions 1983 Huddersfield line NTP colours British Railways Blue.
