It wasn't mentioned in the summit video, so that answer is no. Just trains is apparently working on another route in tsc so they wouldn't be able to help anyway
Two pages of questions, but most are covfefe. They will be talking about the new stuff and nothing else.
Since the release of Rush Hour, many trains have experience flickering graphics inside the cabs on Xbox consoles. This is very noticeable on the class 377, where the text labels on the controls flicker repeatedly. It can also be seen on the class 43, where the sunflower endlessly flickers. These are but a few examples. The issue is incredibly distracting and irritating, often immersion-braking. It has been reported and commented upon in the technical forums many times. Firstly, please can you confirm if DTG are aware of the issue. If so, please can they acknowledge this. Secondly, is it something that is being worked on or will be worked on? Following years of the Xbox sound glitch, it is disappointing to have something else to take its place.
Will the Trenton route add a separate copy of the ACS-64 or just use the existing one from Boston? Can you share a priority list of small or quality-of-life improvements or bugs that you're working on? (Meaning, not big things like the PS5 DLC limit.)
Will the LIRR Layer Onto The New Route So It Can Make Penn Station Busy And To Finally Have All Three Operators At The Station?
Just because it wasn't mentioned doesn't necessary mean no. I know they are really busy and the quality of their work for TSC speaks for itself. I just wanted an official yes or no from the powers that be. That also doesn't mean that MML will be a bad rout without their help but as MML is in their wheel house it would help certain expectations one way or another if we got an official answer. even though i would haver thought that if JT are helping sky hook i would have thought that DTG would have mentioned it (unless they are not allowed to).
Any news regarding any quality of life updates and bug fixes would be appreciated. Aswell as information regarding adding user generated content like fixes and mods to the base game, like LMs fixes.
Only 13 of 61 questions in the thread so far are about the new US content. ( see OP ) Consequently, most of them will be not be answered on the Roadmap stream.
Questions around NEC NY-Trenton Is the Princeton branch included in the event the Arrow III was to ever be added to TSW? If so, can you drive on it in scenario planner? Will the Amfleet IIs and Viewliners be included for long distance Amtrak trains? Will there be any keystone services where there is an ACS64 on both ends? Will there be any special liveries on the route such as Amtrak 642 or NJT 4609? Will the ALP46A be included? Will there be any NJT equipment moves? Will there be any double header Amtrak or NJT services? Will Morrisville Yard be included? Will there be varied train lengths for Amtrak and NJT? Will there be any playable freight services? Will there be AI NYC Subway and PATH trains?
Will we get shunting and passenger service with the 4F’s as well as goods work and also will they be layered to Spirit Of Steam
at long last we have people saying stuff about the NPC's issues for Passenger Trains i for one are sick of it as well when a service starts u dont see a heap of people come off a train in real life do u No u dont u have them waiting on the platform ready to get onto the train plus u dont see them when coming off trains stand in front of the doors at some stations do u No and also the jetpack issue has been slowly been coming back into gameplay its simple Dovetail Fix this issue the NPC's have to be a major fix for this years Core Update along side upgrade to Unreal 5.1 listen to the people we want a better TSW if not get a new boss in and a team that knows what they doing because its clear the one in now dont
I thought JD was prioritizing answering questions about the imminent routes over the other announced routes coming out later, not over any other questions at all.
The video said only the alp46 is included so there's your answer for that. And in terms of other passenger coaches like viewliners and stuff, also not mentioned in the video. Whatever is mentioned in the video is what's coming. So the alp46 with cab and the acs64 with amfleets and cab car.
Unreal 5 won't happen. It's still in early stages and dtg specifically said they won't be the first to dive into unreal 5 until most studios have done so. Also everything needs to be updated heavily to support unreal 5. It's not a simple click a button and everything magically works properly
How much oversight does dtg do over it's third parties? Edinburgh-Glasgow was released with many issues and basic tsw features missing to only have modders with less resources to do improvements and some fixes in less than two hours. Why does DTG continue to to publish third party routes with inconsistent quality only to have modders come in to clean up the mess with less resources and in less time as well? Then you wonder why some people don't think the content is tested or that there is little to no oversight
Does NJT have cab cars or do they have to turn around in the yard? Edit: What's the criteria for choosing to add new skys and other TSW3 features to existing routes. Do you plan to get to most of them eventually or are you just picking those that sync up with a new DLC?
Any update on a possible release of the add on manager. Any update on HST coming to the liverie editor. Any news on SOS updates that are still to come Any new on the island line bug like the speedo bug on the class 483 and island line 2022 mastery not appearing. Any other trains that are not in the liverie editor getting in to the editor.
- Will the Trenton route have any AI layers from LIRR? - Will the UP heritage liveries be tied to the specific unit number so they only ever spawn once (like Trainbow) or will there be potential situations where the same loco can exist multiple times on the route (like Amtrak 662/TSW livery)?
Are we going to have CSAO OI-32 and CSAO ME-02 freights on NYP to Trenton? (which will require Sand Patch Grade, Horseshoe Curve and Oakville Sub) Is Jersey Avenue terminus with industries going to be included? Is SW1000R for Sunnyside coming back (with the Sunnyside Yard ofc)? Is there going to be LIRR layers at NYP?
Any updates on the BML 377 cab lighting being fixed? Will there be a list of the routes which receive TSW3 treatment?
1. Can DTG consider previewing new routes more than a few days/a week in advance of release so that they have enough time to address the inevitable bugs, missing ‘core’ features and inaccuracies that get spotted by punters watching the stream, etc.? 2. Where are we with seeing any Direct Input solution for joysticks/hotas/diy controller panels, etc - DTG have been talking about this off and on since before TSW2’s release? Have they considered involving/incorporating CobraOne’s Raildriver and Joystick Interface for instance as it provides a viable solution for just about any combination of control hardware?
The switcher is not coming with the route. It might be a future loco dlc or part of a new part of the nec. It's not on the roadmap so there's no plans for it.
Why is loyalty counting for nothing right now at DTG? I was ready to drop £45-£50 into your account tonight (as I expect a great deal of other loyal customers) but then we find that the preorder discount only applies on if we don't already own Boston. Now I'm thinking I'll pick up New York Trenton at full price and then wait for a sale to drop before adding the Acela to collection. Realistically DTG won't see more than £40 in revenue from me for these routes and the lack of preorder discount means you'll be waiting longer before you see all of it. Oh I'm sorry 6 scenarios and 6 liveries (which I could probably download similar from CC) is not worth £10. Not now not never, sorry but that's the stone hard fact.
Indeed. I have only one question for the roadmap: what’s the state of affairs of the add-on manager? An answer like “we’re close to release” is not sufficient anymore. It takes way too much time (>1 year and counting).
Why all of the new US DLCs (NorthEast Corridor, Acela, UP Heritage) are available right now only through bundles and not singularly when one of the BIG selling points of TSW3 was the ability to decouple the purchase of new DLCs between loco(s) and route?
Why is there no bundle for the new US content only? Said differently why do you ignore long-time customers?
Has there been any additional development on the quick play feature After the considerable amount of feedback about things picked up in the recent Glasgow release what steps will DTG be making to mitigate them happening again In particular, why were stations quiet again with passengers? Should rush hour not be a standard feature by now? Has DTG engaged with londonmidland or considering doing so to learn how he keeps fixing signal brightness for us? Will station lighting by light ambience now be a consistent feature Is loco dlc being looked at to pad out the BCC , Glashow and Cathcart routes so they're alive?
Any news as to when the Class 31 and 33 from WSR and 43 HST GWE are going to be Livery Designer compatible ?
1. Will there be freight layers at Boston- Providence and New York - Trenton? 2. If yes, will Norfolk Southern sub in besides CSX?
Why are the passenger system is so bugged? The passengers just freeze where they are when the train doors open than walk away when it closes. Just take a look at the Bakerloo line, all the trains are empty. And this affects many more routes. This is a huge immersion breaker.
Cuz they complement each other. Acela layers onto trenton and boston. Cjp is part of base package, up heritage is for sherman Hill. It's the cheapest way to buy dlc if you don't own any of them even if you aren't going to play all of them. You're saving about $80 with the bundle compared to buying everything separately
Respectfully, my question was for the people on the roadmap stream. If I had a question for the community i would have made my own thread. I'm asking if we will have multiple copies of the same loco like we do with many of the German trains.
He gave you the accurate answer. That's already happening with the uk too, not just germany. Trains are going to be reused where appropriate cuz it's easier to do that then to create multiple new trains which takes a lot of time. The acs64 is part of the base package of trenton to nyp and for boston to providence.
It's possible all of the routes will get the tsw3 treatment. Boston sprinter got it, now sherman Hill, and others are probably lined up.
Why do more historic routes suffer from a less strict approach to realism, where you would not get away with something similar on a modern set route? For example the unrealistic layers on WCL, the new steam route having a very insignificant station at its southern end where relatively few trains stopped, no provision (so far) for a Millers Dale to Buxton shuttle.
NEC - NY to Trenton Route - 1. After leaving Newark Penn Station - Has the Prudential Center (Hockey Arena - NJ Devils Hockey team) is very visible two blocks from the train tracks. Has this Newark Landmark (around since 2007) been included in the Newark scenery? As I'm sure the Prudential Center building and Audible skyscraper buildings would be included as well and Hopefully NJPAC? Will this route include other NJ Transit lines as AI traffic such as the Midtown direct/Morristown & Essex line, Montclair-Boonton line and Jersey Coast Line? These lines all have electrified service in and out of NYP and share the same tracks slightly before Secaucus Junction and rest of the way to NY Penn Station (Right before Secaucus is when these lines change the power voltage pantagraph between the different lines. I'd just also like to say how happy I am that NJT is finally coming to TSW3! As NJT is known as 2nd busiest communter railroad in the USA.
I hope we will get to see a class. 700 /707 DLC sometime this year. I would like to see the class 700/707 be on the southeastern high speed along with it could come with to see the North Kent line Dartford to Lewisham and London, Victoria
