On the Union Pacific SD70ACe or SD40-2, just between the front windows, there is a cab signaling ADU (Aspect Display Unit). In TSW3 you can enable the system in the fuse panel on the back wall of both locomotives, in which case the ADU should start to provide signal indications and regulate your speed based on such. However, in the current versions of the game, the ADU stays locked at restricting under almost every signal indication other than approach, in which case the cab signal will change to show clear. This becomes an issue for players using safety systems as you can not exceed 20MPH unless you are trailing another engine close enough to where you're receiving approach signals and thus getting the ADU to display clear as outlined before. The expected result of the cab signaling system would be to display the current signal ahead of the train, rather than always showing restricting. Video showing how to enable and view the issue: PC specs (if relevant): CPU: Intel i7-12700KF Memory: 32GB DDR4 2133MHz GPU: Nvidia RTX 2070 Super My game was run completely mod-less for all testing for this bug.
Futile labor of love, it's broken since SMH release or due to a patch although it was reported many times.
DTG have yet to figure out US cab-signaling systems. Don't work on LIRR, Harlem or Boston either. They need to go find the guy who programmed PZB for them and invite him back.
The annoying part about all of this is the fact that the cab signaling on Sherman Hill was working prior to an update a few weeks after its TSW2 launch. All they theoretically need to do is revert the change and it should be functional again.
DTG, this problem is so annoying! The Sherman Hill route is very good and one of my favourite, but I think the cab signaling ADU bug is waiting so long time to be corrected. Please, we deserve the US locomotives' safety systems implemented with more care and accuracy.
Yeah, as others have said, it worked at launch of the route, then got broken afterwards. Hoping it gets fixed with the upcoming update. If they are already updating the route to the new skies, then it would be really time to really fix the in-cab signalling. Of course, it will probably remain broken in TSW2 forever...
How many Safety Systems has This loco? I make Both things activated, but still got only 35 AP and Not 65
