Hello everyone, Who remembers the old butchered Electrostar sounds pre AP on train sim world. In my opinion they sounded horrifying, Vote and Comment if you remembered them and what you thought of them!

How about an option for “I couldn’t really tell a difference I’m just excited to drive a train?” (This is the category I unapologetically fall in for all of the DLC )

I remember the days when polls were disabled. Ah the good old days.

    Same.
Also if we are on old Electrostar sounds topic, new ones are defo better. I remember people saying that they were "stolen from AP" when infact AP works on some TSW sounds.

I played it in tsw2 when it came out for deluxe edition. It was good to me. But that's cuz i don't know what it actually sounds like in real life since I don't live in the uk and never been there. So they were fine. Then a few months later, a sound mod came out so I got it cuz people said it was good.

Why do you want to discuss the old Electrostar sounds? I can't imagine what it will achieve!

As there is not an option for this I will put it below:

They literally sound like the same boring hum the trains make in real life.

While the old sounds weren't completely accurate, I liked them more because you could actually hear them. Currently with the 377 and 375 the sounds are so quiet that you have to turn the volume really high in order to hear the traction and running sounds. Then the way too loud AWS alarm comes and blasts your ears off.

The problem is, polls can be really useful in certain contexts, but when they’re activated some of the polls posted just seem to achieve nothing at all - either because of the subject matter, or because they’re written in such a biased way that they can only possibly give one outcome.

From my perspective, it only takes a second to look at and then ignore a pointless poll, so I don’t think they should be disabled. It’s worth keeping them activated for the ability to have polls which actually have real value. Hopefully if we have anyone spamming the forum with multiple polls (as has happened before) a moderator can step in and put a stop to it.

I mean, they're still on the East Coastway 377. That's why I don't play ECW anymore.

Didn’t they update ECW to be able to select the AP 377?

Fairly sure it was around the same time they updated all the rolling stock descriptions to have their home route names next to them.

Yeah I got mixed up with what actually happened. There was a SP consist change along with the updated 375 being pushed to BML.

The whole duplicated but in various states rolling stock thing is very silly.
