    Reandom question but what is the 'rpm changeover switch' for on a class 101, kind of self explanatory I guess but what does it do?

    It changes the RPM gauge to show the RPM of engine 1 and engine two (because there are two engines in each unit of a Class 101.
    Apparently there is an engine on the left and right hand side of the train...
