I'd like to drive an LNER class 800 since I would like to see a route for TSW3 that starts at King's cross as we can see it across the road from St Pancras in the Southeastern high-speed route. I also really like the class 800s as well.

Having the full ECML would be an impossibilty for tsw3. Could you please for tell us more about your suggestion such as:
    • What trains could be included?
    • When is it set?
    • How long is it?
    • Where does the route start and terminate? (i.e. Derby to Leicester)
    • What stations are on your suggested route?
    • What could layer on to your suggested route?
    • Any possible further DLCs for the route?
    • Any reference photos?
I would suggest looking at other people's suggestion as examples of what a good suggestion may look like.

The ECML has a few options it can offer for potential routes, the southern end of the ECML would probably be something more akin to LGV Méditerranée, King's Cross to Peterborough, with Stevenage along the way, while something like York-Newcastle would offer more variety in local stopping services and a mix of LNER express services calling only at the major stops and Transpennine trains.stopping at the likes of Chester le Street & Thirsk. The northern leg of it could neatly connect to the already ingame Waverley.

I could conceivably imagine DTG negotiating with Rivet and Skyhook to each take on one of these stretches for a big three-pack bundle that just delivers as much of the ECML as feasible in one go, with say, Rivet on Edinburgh-Berwick, DTG on Newcastle-York, and Skyhook on Peterborough-King's Cross

I could see more: JT on Edinburgh-Newcastle, DTG on Newcastle-York, Skyhook on York-Peterbrough and ATS on Peterborough-Kings cross.

i don’t think skyhook would do a route that long, but it would probably be Rivet/JT edinburgh- newcastle, DTG newcastle to York, ATS Leeds Lines and York - Peterborough, DTG ECMLs and it would be with some ATS influence, Skyhook could extend the MML to sheffield

I think Kings Cross to Edinburgh Waverly is too long for starters, I would like to see Newcastle to Edinburgh

For that to work and merge London King's Cross has to be the common Origin Point in order to merge them. Otherwise a Cologne to Koblenz and Frankfurt to Koblenz TSC Germany Can't merge route and US version of it in TSC is the NEC Philly to NYC can't merge with NJCL due to different common origin point

ECML, one of the most requested by the community, responded to by DTG as "if it's not on the roadmap it's not being worked on" routes winning 1st or second place on route suggestions via the annual survey for the last 5 years

Spot on and if you are wondering it's a TSC route with Class 801 as standard. Look at Mainz Koblenz it's a TSC route that got made for TSW 3 so is NY to Trenton which started as a TSC route. Edinburgh Waverly to Glasgow via Falkirk is also a TSC route.

Out of curiosity have TSW actually done any mergers - I feel like merging several routes would just cause more problems considering The amount of services and AI trains everywhere

I've asked several times, there's a huge post on here about mergers called "let's build a network" but it keeps being advised as not being worked on.
Personally I think it's because there's too much older tech they still need to support that will ask why an original Xbox etc can't handle it

Spot on and for a compromise why not use 8th gen consoles with a reduced timetable merger on ECML South Peterborough to King's Cross merged with Peterborough York if made full version 9th gen consoles since they use PC Timetable post 2021 Rush hour update.

And about 0% of them are read for various reasons. - this is why imo rivet forums are better considering rivet staff actually look and read and reply to all suggestions.

yes they do, but to make things worse it’s probably always the most requested things in the surveys
