Tell me what you think about it. If you want to get informed of new guides being worked on as soon as development starts I recommend joining our small discord group https://discord.gg/jRup7wX. Cheers! Prof.
Thanks so much Prof! Much appreciated. I'm not very familiar with the British signaling and this will be quite handy. Alan
Hi together, because I want to drive without the Hud I made myself a speedtable for the NTP route. At the moment its for the way from Manchester to Leeds. I will do one for the opposite direction as well. Feel free to edit and use it as you want. No guarantee its 100% correct. Best regards Julian
Thanks Julian! I too prefer to operate without the HUD, but some speed signs appear missing, and those signs that are there are sometimes difficult to read. This looks like a great tool to have. Alan
Nice guide. Any chance of including some of the ground signals that crop up sometimes- limit of shunt etc?
Great guide Julian. Thanks for sharing. I like to drive HUD free too. I’m currently compiling a fairly detailed bug report (supporting pics and map locations) with reference to missing speed posts which I hope to get over to DTG pre Christmas. Hopefully they can then easily insert the posts in the patch JT
As always the Prof provides As a total lost cause when it comes to Semaphore Signaling i appreciate your effort in putting these together sir . Why is it PZB and LZB make total sense to me yet Semaphores do not.... sigh
Puffing Nora I apologize for not including the ground signals. I am a bit busy this week although I will be getting on it from tomorrow. I'll make sure to notify everyone of updates ASRGT LOL haha. It's different, I understand. julian2 Thank you for the speed limits table! I also love driving without HUD and this will be very helpful Cheers, Prof
Absolutely no need for an apology Prof, I was only concerned in case someone with no experience of such signalling came a cropper because of them. They are easy to miss if youre not looking for them, and quite confusing if you don't understand what they are representing. I quite like them (I think theyre cute little signals) and will be modelling them on my little 00 gauge layout here in my country kingdom Edit- you can see an example of them in my little picture just to the left.
Hi Prof, I've updated the thread title to correct the typo "Huddersford" to "Huddersfield". Best, Steve
I had a few signalling anomalies when driving - 18:48 Man Vic - Leeds (Class 45) - from Morley I was following yellow signals, all the way to Leeds, not abnormal as you might think but about to pass a single yellow I could see a signal yellow ahead too, I then had a double yellow, followed by consecutive yellows all the way into Leeds, now I wasn’t following anything, so thought it was bizarre!
Did you make a speed table for the opposite direction? It reminds me of the Buchfahrplan the drivers in Europe use Thanks Peter
