    Hi guys.

Can anyone please provide me with a list of all re-released US content (from end 2021/beginning 2022) that were released in branded form to us not living in the US. I am looking for the "blocked" content and the content that were both for US and ROW where the ROW ones were unbranded.

    Thanks a million

Things I purchased then and a few others I know being related:
    • Cajon Pass (not really worth by now, but home to many of the below if you want the scenarios, also cheap)
    • Marias Pass
    • Pacific Surfliner (may have been available)
    • Racetrack: Aurora-Chicago (available as unbranded)
    • Raton Pass (available as unbranded)
    • Stevens Pass
    • Amtrak P42DC Empire Builder (available but for Marias Pass)
    • AT&SF SD45
    • BNSF Dash 9
    • BNSF ES44DC
    • BNSF GP38-2
    • BNSF SD40-2
    • Burlington Northern F45
    • GP9
    • Great Northern F7 Empire Builder
    • SD70 V2
    • SW1500
    • F7 Southern Pacific Bloody Nose, marketplace based on GN F7 above)
    • CSX ES44AC, marketplace based on BNSF ES44DC
    • CSX SD70MAC, marketplace based on SD70 v2
    • Union Pacific / GE 44 tonner (available, but for Cajon Pass)
    • Union Pacific SD70ACe (available, but for Cajon Pass, also the DRGW livery aside it's available with a newer route)
There must be several steam locos I've skipped due to lack of personal interest.
Most of the old loco packs use old-old sounds (UP/NS heritage packs as well) which are neither prototypical nor nice.
(The current Kuju sound is at least a nice hum.)

Overall I wouldn't recommend specifically hunting for these, unless you're preparing for a big swipe over the next sale. I can recommend two methods, though.
Method A: If you are interested in the workshop, favorite interesting scenarios and note packs you miss.
Method B: If you want the full experience of a railroad or route, search for "Train Simulator Route Name" or "... Operator", you should get a list. Depending on the actual description in the above packs, it may or may not find them. I'm sure you know well that they include liveries for various railroads, current and past.

Cajon Pass not worth? It's needed for WS Cajon Pass Modernized (be sure to check that out, it adds so much stuff!)

    :)

    :D
I did like it but find Sherman (or recent Tehachapi) a good replacement. Or the TSW version. (Boo me!)

It has a specific feel but it also doesn't have seasons, overwhelming desert yellowish color, which doesn't correlate to actual photos of the place except during a summer windstorm (one ER episode when Greene and Ross go on a trip). Vegetation is virtually missing, which I suppose was the point, but still. In spring it kinda looks like Settle-Carlisle, flowers, bushes and green everywhere. And then summer kicks in. :D
The other gripe is some turns being aggressive, potentially tilting. I even had random derails in straight sections, very unexpected.
Great if you want to play RBJets, or something remastered :)

In a topic recently I made a point (or just wanted?) about old, cheap content being lucrative, but also delivering less value and potentially convincing people that TS is just bad.

Loco packs are different-ish, they're great to add variety to existing routes, like in your recent run on Ohio Steel.

No seasons - Comparing Cajon Pass with the original RailSimulator version, I've discovered interesting changes.

The originally released Cajon Pass used one season file for all four season TimeOfDays - the very first one "Kuju\RailSimulatorCore\TimeOfDay\default.xml".

When released for RailWorks, they introduced a new skydome and seasons ("Kuju\RailsimulatorUS\TimeOfDay\Spring...Winter.xml"). This skydome is broken and leads to strange effects - drawing the sun only on the first scenario you're playing after a game restart. Changing this to the RailSimulatorCore TimeOfDays Core_Spring, Core_Summer, etc fixes that. But the sun is too low for that region.

As for the colours - easiest way to (daylight) seasonal effect is of course using 3D weather.
You could also use Tehachapi's TimeOfDay folder and use it on CP (or APWeatherEP with modified azimuths and times. The folder must be placed in Kuju\RailsimulatorUS).

Texturing is a different matter. Is snow generally a thing in the desert? Or just on very few occasions? I've found that it does happen but very rarely in LA and surroundings.

Sheesh - gone off topic again ;) - but further updating "Cajon Pass Modernized" would be a thing, using Tehachapi assets. I'll start on this if I find the time. Then we need Mojave - Barstow (which is probably not a big thing for experienced route authors - mostly flat and hardly scenery, a bit boring yeah) and merge them all. :) Been running the network a lot on Run8.

    Can be:

As you mentioned it's always possible to mix season, weather and date to create combinations like a dry winter, rainy spring on the old SDJR works quite well as late autumn (stick season already). Newer routes have flowers so work less great.

But it's the same with the Overland Route (Castle Rock), that one should definitely have seasons :)
It might be easy enough to add European foliage to Cajon and voila - ideally a bit later versions, to support more colors like Settle-Carlisle.
Sherman is another great example, the difference is minor variation in grass color but there is definitely some.
Might even be a thing with the Cajon-Mojave remaster you mentioned. Or simply the TSW remaster.

This ship has sailed of course, so just for discussion's sake :)
