Good afternoon, After the update if I start in Boston or Providence the lights are red and I can't proceed even though I turn on all the security systems. Am I doing something wrong?
Which services? Nobody can help you if you don't mention what services. I just did am acs64 run with no issues so you might want to be more specific
I tested it on five different services, and they all start with a red light, even asking for authorization...
Yea but do you know which ones. Just saying you tested it on 5 different services doesn't mean anything. Which services?
I still haven't been able to find a timetable service that doesn't start on an endless Red Signal. Trying to do an MBTA cab car run. I've tried 6:42 and 7:48 out of Stoughton and have the home signal leaving Stoughton stuck on red. 7:11 out of Providence and 8:05 out of Readville same thing. Checked the "9" key map and there's no AI anywhere to be found, and all signals everywhere show red for my direction of travel. On one I did find an AI train miles and miles away running opposite direction in motion but after about a minute it got stuck at a red signal for no reason too.
I've tried several other timetable services now, in both directions, and with both MBTA or the ACS-64. All signals on the route appear to be stuck on red. Leaving Boston it looks like AI trains are all stuck as well. For the record this on PC (Steam) as I saw from another thread it looks like at least someone on Xbox was able to drive a train somewhere.
Here are at least 4 different services. Red lights all over the route and AI trains stopped. Also, when trying to drive Antrak trains, the game gives an UE error when switching to the external camera... Ah, I did file verification and no errors were found...
Same. Pc Steam Tried multiple runs from prov to bos all endless red. No a.i. trains anywhere nearby Im not early
This is most interesting. I am also on Steam for the sim and had no issues with the first run I just did. Nice, smooth run Boston to Providence.
Should have included that information. Contacting the dispatcher does literally nothing every time I tried. No message at all, whether to proceed or permission denied. Also I've checked the game files and all files validated via Steam.
This is weird because I just tested these four services. For the two out of Stoughton, the light turned green for me 1 minute after I loaded passenger at Stoughton. For the 7:11 out of Attleboro (not Providence), I arrived Mansfield on time, no problem for me. For the 8:05 out of Readville, yes I got stuck for several minutes but that was just waiting for an AI train coming from Providence direction. If you press 9 the moment you enter the service, there's that train moving slowly into a station behind Readville.
Also, when starting a service with Acela, after a few moments, the UE4 error occurs. For me unfortunately the route is unplayable
Try verifying your files. I had ue4 crashes when the route got updated. I did a verification and it worked with no crashes
I've done it three times, including uninstalling and reinstalling the route, and nothing has been done. I submitted a support ticket...
Update: As a last resource, I uninstalled the game and removed all MODS installed in the folder. I reinstalled the game and now the route works normally.
Hi all, we can confirm that these services are working as intended on a vanilla installation (unmodified). Therefore, it would suggest that these issues are the result of technical issues, which can be addressed by using the Experiencing Technical Issues Guide. If you have ever installed unofficial content or mods, we cannot guarantee that your game will work as intended. Therefore, you will need to use the linked guide to complete a clean reinstallation, to remove any traces of unauthorised content. Simply removing mods is not always an effective way of doing this.
A general rule that can be applied to any game is that if you're running with mods and the game gets an update, then you start experiencing problems, the first likely culprit is that one of your mods has not yet been updated to account for the new content. Disabling mods until they're updated to account for the new patch ought to be the first thing you do to check if that fixes the new bugs.
I have had this issue today after going back to the Boston route after a while of not using it..... Turns out the issue in my case was with an older version of the US Routes TOD mod. Once i replaced it with the current version all signals performed as they should again.
