I hope in the future, they can utilize it in a patch somewhere

Seems like most of the work has been done. If it's just a time issue, shouldn't be too hard to patch in....

Well looking into the TT, there are slots for the Arrow III.
    imfage.png
This does NOT mean an ArrowIII is confirmed, in fact these three formations use the NJT double deck coaches as placeholders it appears. What it does mean is that there's a slot in the timetable formations available for the Arrow III if it were ever to come. (as far as I'm aware, my info might be slightly off there)

If an Arrow III does come (which again, is not confirmed by any means), maybe a timetable update utilizing those LIRR formations can be done.

Yes, I believe Matt has already confirmed once that they did plan on adding LIRR, but didn't have the time.

That's pretty cool. Hopefully it means they will come later on. And if they have future plans with the route, then hopefully they will make the timetable busier as well.

I for myself are gonna penalise dtg by buying entire 2023 dlc content for tsw on heavy sale if im still interested by the end of year.

Nothing to add at this point, so cya around christmas...going lazy (running out of time over and over) is a damn low excuse about increasing price and heavy cutting routes from its potential.

Its really not about the money, but at this stage of vision for tsw, my time is spent better somewhere else. Good Bye

This " time " excuse irritates me. Would a few extra weeks of dev time have been that much of a problem.

The inclusion of LIRR and some additional NJT would certainly have changed the tenor of this thread and almost certainly increased pre-orders and launch sales.

I've worked in the business world, so I know it's a balancing act, but I think a little more time would have paid off in terms of sales and good will. And, in business, good will is revenue inducing.

So if the route would had included a real time table and the LIRR layer I would had purchased the bundle on steam for PC 53.99 , XBOX X 59.99 and LIRR route on XboX which I don't have and is still a whopping 26.99 on Xbox but I would of purchased it. that would had been 140.97 they would off got. but the money stays put

Same. Sure, they saved a bit of development time and cost this way, but how many sales and how much reputation are they losing each release this way?

IF the Arrow comes, I definitely want to see DTG really improve the timetable (LIRR and NJT) BEFORE that and WITHOUT me having to pay extra. If there are like 70 services out of nearly 300 now, crank it up to 200 with the existing stock, THEN sell me Arrow with extra layer.

Does anyone know if the Amtrak Acela has a tail light because I only see ditch light control in the cab? Where is the tail light control?

I wonder if the last-minute delay of Rivet's route on Playstation forced their hand a little- maybe they thought it would be too much backlash if there were two consecutive delays?

Or, for whatever business reasons, this HAD to launch in February- a week's delay may not have been enough time to finish it up, so out the door it went.

From a consumer's point of view it doesn't make much difference since the end result is an undercooked release no matter what.

In the screenshots of the timetable in this thread for the ALP services there is a 3.5 hour period from around 10am where there are no services for the loco at all and all the services in this period are for the cab car only. It seems a bit odd to me that the cab car has so many more services than the loco and I’m sure from feedback on previous routes that players prefer driving locos than cab cars so if there was to be an unbalanced timetable in favour of one or the other then the loco should have more. I would have thought it would be evenly distributed myself, or am I missing something?

Not seeing the route at all. I downloaded ACELA AND NEC NY TO TRENTON today. I see the acela add-on but NY TO TRENTON route will not populate. I’ve deleted and redownloaded still nothing in my routes. Is anyone else having this issue?

I don't know for sure but that would probably be a pretty quiet time on the route IRL, right after morning rush hour. So, more deadhead runs back to NYP would make some sense to me at that time. Presumably you should see the inverse in the evening after rush hour.

I'm doing the acela run on the Boston route #2190 and its static CSX trains in the yards and sidings.

From the preview stream the timetable looks a little bit quiet from Newark Penn to Trenton, Newark Penn to NY Penn is fine, is this how it is IRL, surely not, and LIRR (Lurr for New Yorkers btw) only features in scenarios, why aren't they featured in timetable mode, don't say it's performance because it probably isn't, it's the opposite, DTG not giving us the layers in service mode :(

On a slightly more positive note, well done to DTG first off for making the route and cActUsjUiCe for making the signalling work on this line

And that 3 hour gap is only for sunnyside deadhead services

There's a FIVE hour gap between regular services for the ALP46 from 09:00 to 14:06.

Do you recall on the stream how Brandon said ny Penn is very busy as Matt pulled out late. What you saw was light for the morning rush up into ny Penn. it should have been more dense. For example we saw 4-5 trains roll towards ny between nyc and Newark. In real life it’s not uncommon for 3-4 trains AT A TIME to be stuck at red signals waiting to clear into the tunnel with a line of trains in front of them queuing for track assignments. That’s what Brandon meant

In real life that’s no more than a 10-15 min gap off peak on a week day

It’s not … that’s why so many are vocal

just about everything else they did is true to the railroad … except the time table for njt. The Amtrak timetable looks really well done. The njt timetable is about 1/8 of real life

Man, the Acela is gorgeous and is something really fresh for the US content. I really love the way the cab is weathered, it’s reminds you that as modern as these trains seem, there are 20+ years of hard wear in every one.

I would love to get this onto NEC NY but I simply cannot give my blessing to DTG increasing costs while lacking on their development.

DTG needs to get the timetable sorted on the route.

I went and buried my wallet in the garden under the patio when I saw someone post the the timetable was still being worked on two weeks before release..... followed by others saying it's normal.

Maybe so, maybe this is what said normal looks like. I am getting hungry though now so I may need to deploy a wallet recovery mission

Like I mentioned before Imaging during rush hour release, the BML had only included half the services to brighton and nothing else....... that's the comparision or if the SEHS on TSW3 only had the 375 services, with only half of services...........

Not my screen shot but wow, seems like the timetable is the least of the issues on Trenton, after seeing this its a hard pass from me and a total deal breaker. Even if they offered the route for free right now I doubt I'd let it take up space on my drive.

can I ask if you’re on PS5? It might be you’ve hit the 64GB add-on limit - if so, you might need to remove a couple of pieces of content to be visible.

We’re working on a fix, sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Yep. And it’s not just a tiny section on one little track too, it’s widespread around that area.

I think there’s enough proof that this route was rushed, and way too many corners were cut. That point still stands when excluding the missing OHLE as well.

I’ve seen enough now to add my voice to those saying this timetable is unacceptable for a release. That 5 hour gap for services for the new loco is just laughable. I was a bit surprised to hear Matt say that the team had ‘gone the extra mile’ when making this route. That must mean they were under extreme pressure to even get it to this state because it isn’t the same as when Joe went the extra mile with the London Commuter timetable for example. This is barely even walking to the end of the street compared to that.

Something has gone wrong with this route and it’s likely due to reusing long sections of a route that we have been consistently told would have needed a complete rebuild to be usable even in TSW2. DTG are of course smiling through the marketing. The Acela layer may save this route for many players (with the extra cost to buy it) but the new loco it comes with as standard should be the star and have enough services to fill the day. Very poor.

I mean.... at least the pantograph is up on this view..... it might be one of those neutral sections where there potentially shouldn't be OHLE but has it.

Personally, I think the route looked great in places, good length too. Acela looks nice.

However a route to me needs to be busy, have life on it (npc out of stations) and feel like it's got something to it.

You don't buy your house without a roof, your car with a wheel missing and your shoes with no soul. It's for this reason at the moment as much as I am intrigued by route and train I am NOT purchasing and feeling like I'm getting burnt yet again on a churned out route that to me having reflected greatly sees it as incomplete. The foundation is there, I don't feel the soul has arrived as yet.

I have absolute respect for Matt, Jd, Brandon and the teams work but my spending habits have massively stalled and I'm focusing on existing content because things keep getting missed, routes are still quiet and no one is acknowledging it's bean counters pushing projects of passion too far towards "just get it out the door and onto the next please team"

In the same way run8 keeps getting mentioned I have been moving frequent disposable income gifts to DTG to become more disposable income gift's to others until i feel I'm getting value for money again . People always harp on about "don't buy etc".... I'm holding firm now and have only purchased bremen and nothing else for tsw3

Im taking sams historical advice of " if you don't like it..... " ( or words to effect)

LOL makes me laugh to see people who have complained on this thread pre-release that this route was unacceptable, yet end up buying it day one and start posting issues with the route :D There really is one born every minute.

The fact that I like what’s there so much makes me equally dislike what’s missing. This is my home route and it’s like looking at the perfect girl until she smiles and shows she has missing teeth

Fully agree, sound makes a total difference. Tiny Island Line 2020 sounds much better than these new tsw3 dlcs and I hate Boston route because of this silent ride and broken passenger system - both are hugely neglected in TSW. And thats why Ill stay away from this bundle and latest three dlcs for some time. Until I see some CORE (boarding, sound etc. ) improvements.
