I only drive a few locomotives but when installing some route or add-ons, I install additional locomotives that I don't use After deleting these redundant locomotives, everything works fine, but traces of these locomotives remain in the menu How can I remove these residues because it's definitely saved in some xml ?, but I don't know which one Do I need to remove it with TS-Tools? somehow different
Have you uninstalled them using Steam's DLC manager? If so, try if deleting the RailVehicles database cache does the trick. (Content\RVDBCache.bin)
This is how I deleted RVD Cache.bin and other cache files But it stayed on I manually removed the locomotives from various directories such as: RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles All it needs is a route (even without scenarios) and a few locomotives and I want to remove them from this menu (they can physically be on the disk) but in the menu I only want the ones I drive And after deleting them manually, there is a trace of ionka and old scripts and i don't know how to remove it
The scenarios shown are in a PreLoad folder These are installed with the European Loco and Asset Pack. Have a look in this folder - \Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\PreLoad\NewcYork You will see files like LM_Class 37 4 Blue Mk1s.bin - Rename the .bin to.bak and the game will not see them. If you later wanted them renaming the files would make the game see them.
It's your game, you can do what you want. What you are doing by manually deleting files from DLC asset folder, you're gonna mess up your installation. Impossible to give support then.
I managed to turn it off Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\PreLoad Assets\Kuju\RailsimulatorUS\PreLoad but some of the locomotives are in the files xxx.ap unzipped them with 7-zip and changed but repacking and renaming from to .ap doesn't work (routes not visible) I need to read how to create an .ap archive But for now, thanks a lot for your help
>..."by manually deleting the files from the DLC resource folder, you will break the installation" I know it's risky I just turned off the ground textures But such "tinkering" is the best learning and pleasure (of course, how to make a backup copy) But it's too much work for me, so I'll give it a rest. You need to focus on getting to know the track editor
A different case from residue from deleted trains, but I seem to be plagued with dozens of these for trains I don’t have for various scenarios.
I just ignore them. All the stuff I want to drive is favourited, and appears at the start of the menu. I have loads of these ghosts from scenarios that had missing assets. It just seems too much bother to remove them.
I daren’t touch favouriting any more - I tried to favourite some scenarios and they promptly disappeared from the drive menu, so I had to go into the build menu/scenarios, where it would appear, clone it, then the clone only would appear in the drive scenario options. No idea why I’ve got this glitch that doesn’t seem to affect others. That’s scenarios, of course, haven’t tried with trains, but worried about trying and seeing favourite trains disappear…
Steam uses *.ap files to verify you have what you purchased Those *.ap files you created are not supposed to be there and if you change one you downloaded Steam might delete them on your next file upload
Ok, I understand, so nothing better remove. I'm coming back to this game after years I gave up on this game because of Steam I have four editions on DVD and couldn't get to the old tours after update Now he wants to try building a route but it takes a while Because graphically it is very pretty and it has a rain effect Now I have to collect Polish resources from the network because there are not many of them and those that were have disappeared (I used to have the Gdynia-Hel route) but I can't find it online anymore, but that's a topic for a separate thread on the forum Regards
