Tried to play Cab to the Race scenario with the safety system on but it's impossible to arrive on time, the system makes you slow down for no apparent reason and the train has pretty poor acceleration. I only made it with the systems turned off so I could actually reach line speed.
You mean positive train control the US version of European PTC the ETCS. If I were you practice US PTC on NEC Boston and Harlem Line and then NEC Trenton New Brunswick NYC.
With safety systems off, I was able to obtain gold in that scenario with only 1min remaining . It’s impossible to do with them enabled due to the acses/atc speed reductions
