The Raton Pass is set in the early 1990s. I think we need a bit more variation of ATSF modern diesels, plus maybe a steam locomotive. Here are a few ideas: -GP60 (Blue/Yellow) - GP60M, and GP60B (Warbonnet) -SD75M (Warbonnet) -Amtrak Genesis P40DC (Phase II or III) -F45 (Blue/Yellow) -FP45 (Warbonnet) -SD40, SD40-2, or SD45 (Blue/Yellow) -C44-9W (Warbonnet) -GE U-boat or -7 ATSF units -Steam loco: ATSF 4-8-4 #3751 Maybe we could also get some vintage diesels or other steam power. Some examples: -FT F3 or F7 A/B units (Warbonnet & Cat Whisker) -GP7/9 -GP20 -GP30 -GP35 -SD24 -Steam power: -4-8-4 3751-class or 2900-class -2-8-2 Mikado -ATSF Hudson (Blue Goose)
These are some great suggestions, I agree with every one of them. It would be nice if we could also get the upcoming SDP40F in an ATSF paint scheme, since after Amtrak retired them, some were sold to the Santa Fe.
We could also get an ATSF 2-10-2 "Santa Fe" steam loco, a 2-10-10-2 Mallet, and/or a 2-10-4 Texas. I like the SDP40F idea, too.
We already have the Santa Fe SD75M and the Santa Fe SD45-2. But the rest of those would be excellent suggestions! If only there was proper licensing from BNSF.
And Also Add More Miles of Track to La Junta CO to The East and to Las Vegas NM to The West which will bring to the Total of 270 Miles of Track.
