Oh boy another loco add on bundle, wonder if the US will get the short end of the stick like with the CSX SD40 and the ATSF F7 AGAIN! (Assuming this bundle is the BNSF DLC that was leaked in the other thread)
It's a rog 37, sd70 and a railbow for sehs, cjp and skw. https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/train-sim-world/articles/article/tsw-roadmap-march-2023
How come Oakville’s Passenger Timetable still isn’t listed on the physical roadmap article. Im NOT asking where it is, when it’s coming, or what the issue with it is. Im asking, if the Oakville Passenger Timetable is still coming, why isn’t it simply listed on the roadmap article under Special Projects as; - [TSW3] Oakville Passenger Timetable
Will the TOFC (Truck Trailers on Flatcars) for the BNSF SD70ACe pack have the same European truck trailers as seen on the TOFC on Horseshoe Curve, or will the new Cajon pack receive proper American truck trailers this time?
Sherman Hill looks amazing with the new weather and lighting, but is there a reason that it didn't get the deep snow function? I feel that this is a route that would really benefit from having deep snow over the tracks in the winter.
It feels like TSW2 has been abandoned. they need to fix the remaining major bugs and slow down TSW3 content so it launches in a good condition
1) Are there any plans to add additional layers to BML for 8th gen following the addition of add ons manager and the optimisation improvements? 2) How well is scenario and livery designer 2.0 coming along? It is something that a lot of people would like to see released and certainly has a lot of potential by the sounds of it 3) Why are some of the older DLC's not getting a lot of love and care, for example, Great Western Express and Northern Transpennine haven't really been changed that much as a route, there hasn't been a major timetable update and now with all the new DLC's which people own, it would make sense for older routes to have more layers to make them more enjoyable. 4) In the creators club, there are so many awesome liveries and scenarios which people make, however some people including myself choose not to download them because certain liveries appear in timetable which may not look realistic, for example a pink class 377. This feature was already made by DTG but has never been released which is a like button and a heart button which may have been forgotten about? This would be a great way to show appreciation of a good livery instead of subscribing. 5) Linking to my previous question, when a livery is made on certain trains, you can see them in timetable mode which is good and all but when they appear multiple times, it does reduce realism. For example, seeing a class 66 in Biffa livery, only one exists so seeing it twice is a bit odd so may this be a possible feature to stop this happening in livery editor 2.0? 6) Question for Matt: How is the scenario planner formations going and is there any limits to the amount of different formations you can do for 1 train? 7) Why does the loading screen show 2 images between loading in to routes? There is one about downloading content and the other is a community screenshot, we used to get 3 pictures in TSW, I feel it would be better to get at least 2 community screenshots and maybe not seeing that downloading content thumbnail as it's no longer a new game really
I just saw the Roadmap and noted some omissions/inaccuracies. There's nothing on the Acela trainsets facing the wrong direction (in both Boston and Trenton); is this going to be fixed? Are the Amtrak cab cars going to be renamed to what they actually are? The units are not Amfleets. They are Metroliner Cab Cars. The reason they look like Amfleets is because Budd based the Amfleet design off the Metroliner EMU. Is the volume going to be adjusted on the Amfleet coach doors closing? They currently sound like an angry teenager slamming their bedroom door. In reality they are nearly silent.
The steam railtour pack looks interesting but it's pretty telling that each of those only have 5 coaches on. Feels like a railtour would have more like 8 or more but I'm guessing the steam physics would prevent you getting around such hilly terrain with a load like that at the moment.
With the new ROG 37, will we only be getting the dellner coupler or will we be getting tight lock couplers too so we can drag things such as the 313/314 and 465?
- Livery Designer issues for multiple trains on peninsula corridor (everything except MP15DC I believe) - Bombardier Cab Car not selectable in timetable UI - Exterior decals not appearing on exterior of TwinBayHopper Model - can’t use livery designer creations in scenario planner - (I think) there’s still some broken railroad crossings
For linke Rheinstrecke I would like to know: - are IR services included in the BR103 timetable (obviously with the IC stock)? - Is the 101 substituting for some 103 services? - is the a commitment to bring PIS at a later stage? Otherwise I am quite happy with what was presented so far…
To have layers, the game would need appropriate trains in the right livery For gwe, it's been said by dtg from a few years back that there is not much that can be done to the timetable. There would need to be a new trains, 165 I think to add more stuff to the timetable. For german timetable upgrades, the appropriate trains were already available. German routes have a lot of the same trains running everywhere and Joe did his timetable magic. Same with certain other uk routes.
Is there any plan to change the highlight color in the UI to something other than gray? As has been said several times, gray meaning unavailable is so standard in UIs that "grayed out" is actually in the dictionary. What locomotives and rolling stock, specifically, and beyond just the 103 and revamped IC coaches, will be included with Rheinstrecke? And will that include freight? (The 143 and 155 are the wrong color, but in the distance Traffic and Orient red aren't all that different. Unfortunately they both currently have the refurbished cabs) Will the Rechte Rheinstrecke be modeled with AI trains at least to serve as "animated scenery"? Are DTG giving any thought to extending the development time of routes? Far too often we have been seeing routes come out in a half-baked state, that could have been great with another two to four weeks' work; NYT with its lame timetable is a paradigm example.
So many questions that I don’t expect will be answered as they are to close to the bone. Why did Matt tell us PS4 players the add-on manager would be released at the same time as the PS5 version as in his words, “they are much of a muchness”? What has happened to Adam Lucas? He seems to have disappeared since the release of TSW3. Apparently all the preserved collection was in final testing and was close to release. This was at least 6 months back. Why do you keep churning out dlc after dlc but still unable or unwilling to fix the many issues within the game? Why is Xbox even getting this add-on manager? It doesn’t even require one. I will be deeply insulted should the PS4 version not be released before Xbox. It appears PS4 players are constantly elbowed away in recent months.
Regarding the new SD70ACe and freight wagons for CJP, will Creators Club liveries for these units appear randomly on AI services and other stock in timetable mode, as is customary on other routes such as SPG? Speaking of CJP more generally, is DTG aware that Creators Club liveries do not appear randomly on AI services and other stock in timetable mode on the locos and wagons that come with the route, and will this be fixed? Also regarding the new TOFC flatcar, will this be featured in intermodal services only, or mixed in more generally such as with manifest freights? I would assume that any appearance outside of intermodal services would not be prototypical. Thank you.
Adam is alive apparently. He pops in my streams every now and then for a Hello there and a conversation. The special projects team are a pretty busy bunch. Adam is also working with the 3rd Party Partners as well I believe. What benefit will I gain from Add-ons Manager if I’m not a PlayStation player? Players should see a performance benefit (likely to be more noticeable with the more Add-ons you have installed and on 8th-generation consoles) – this is due to the new system ‘mounting’ content where it is needed in the game, rather than having your entire library potentially impacting your in-game driving experience. Will this impact any mods installed on my game? We will be working with modders and our beta teams to check that – where known, the release does not negatively impact any mods installed. We have thus far not seen any issues. Hentis
I think that's covered in the article. DB BR 103 in Deutsche Bundesbahn 'Trans Europ Express' livery DB BR 110.3 in Deutsche Bahn Orient Red livery Avmz and Bvmz IC coaches with red band n-Wagen coaches & Karlsruhe Kopf cab car in DB White and Mint livery Shimmns-u 708 and Tadgs 959 freight wagons Quick note on Loco Add-on Bundle questions. I'll ask the team to follow up with these tomorrow morning.
For Linke Rheinstrecke questions and requests, it'd be good to add them to the live stream preview thread https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...-19-00-utc-question-thread.65702/#post-616663
DTG JD If this truly isn’t cancelled like Matt said last roadmap stream, how come it still isn’t listed on the article? Isn’t the roadmap supposed to show all announced content coming to the game? I asked this in January, it was ignored, I asked last month, the question wasn’t answered properly.
I think it's because it requires the peninsula corridor timetable update and fixes first for it to work at all.
Once again Im NOT asking where it is, when it’s coming, or what the issue with it is. I’m asking why it isn’t listed on the article like this - [TSW3] Oakville Passenger Timetable Idk how I can make my question more clear .
I have 2 questions about the ICEs in the loco-bundle: 1. As those 2 repaints are that simple, have you thought about adding "der kleine ICE" (403 514-3)? It would add a bit more variety. 2. will the green ICE1 substitute on Linke Rheinstrecke? The red ICE1 is already not era-appropriate, but somewhat OK. But the green one would just be way too much.
This perception could be wrong, but the improvements for Boston's signalling seemed to be waiting around for the release of the Acela. Is there a general policy that you need a reason such as a new DLC to go back and do major rework on a route or will other "broken" systems get ad hoc fixes.
Could be an oversight on my part, but rennekton#1349's logic is sound. I'll make a note for its inclusion (or an update) next time around.
Just making it clearer since it’s been misinterpreted since January if stuff like Steam AI spads, red light fixes, etc can be listed on the roadmap that still need work done, the passenger timetable should be listed too.
But pulled by a 110???? The 110 may have been demoted from its Fernschnellzug heyday, but it was never reduced to hauling goods!
The Roadmap lists things that are being worked on. I think we can therefore conclude that the timetable for NYT is NOT being worked on: we're stuck with it. (Or rather, y'all are stuck with it, since I didn't buy it).
Yes unfortunately there is much to fear for this update it is DEAD, so [ya plus ka faut kon] puff......
Was referring to Oakville not NYT But JD clarified already in the stream (and above) that the Oakville timetable should’ve been on the roadmap so everything’s good on that part
Let’s drop it here too. Where’s news about a fix for the DB BR 143 broken achievement (Dresden Commuter)? You are aware that it’s been broken since 9 September 2021.
I have been trying to get that trophy for the BD BR 143 I thought I was going mad! What I have noticed is that loco has 2 trophy's / achievements for 143 km! in two different routes for some reason? Makes you wonder if they even look at if they are replicating them again. On true steam achivements it showed that achievement as deleted!
Stream is here - will be timestamped tomorrow! https://www.youtube.com/live/DUBWRKkk6PA?feature=share&t=600
DTG JD I see no mention of the TSW2 broken trophies, presumably the default “we’re looking into it” still applies but it’s never fun seeing the one thing I’m waiting for no longer getting a mention.
people can understand trophy's / achievements being broke for say a month or so but not for a year + because it gives the impression nothing is being done to fix it
