Well doing the introduction/tutorial for the class 37 there is a glitch whereby it will not progress past the use throttle and train brake to manage speed portion resulting in failure upon passing a red signal. Having looked into it this seems to be specific to the PS5 version.
Never mind. Found what was causing it and figured out a workaround. If anyone else has the problem when the game was brought to PS5 it changed the default switch alignments in Tees Yard. Make sure you are on the bottom most track of the section.

Yeah, guess for whatever reason the default switch alignments got messed up when they took it to next gen consoles.
