Oh I'm sure the team worked hard on it It just if you already own Spirit of Steam and West Cornwall Loco it doesn't really make it worth it unfortunately if there was a bit of a discount for owning those two routes involved then I would actually consider it but thanks for the reply
The number of coaches should be enough when full to make the tour pay for itself. 5 coaches would not go far these days, I would say 10 at a minimum, plus the support coach behind the loco, plus the obligatory duff on the end. I could live without the last 2 but having only 5 coaches on a rail tour is plain silly. It doesn’t make any sense, it’s not as if we’re getting charged by the coach.
Since I wrote my previous reply, I watched some of Hentis’ stream and there seems to be a 7 coach consist available in the train selection menu. As for making the tour pay, this is TSW3, those coaches ain’t going to be full
Which is why I questioned the shortness of the consists; it’s not as if we’re paying a fixed amount for each coach in the pack, so why not be authentic for immersion’s sake? At the end of the day if some people are okay with short trains that’s fine, just not me.
I know it’s a railtour. Railtours don’t run with 5 coaches for the reasons Redbus explains. Actually, if it was set in the days when steam was running in normal service, 5 coaches would be slightly more plausible. At that time some trains did run with very light loads, particularly on semi-fast services. But of course, then a Jubilee wouldn’t fit in West Cornwall.
