Boston - Providence Issues

    Not played the route for a long while but thought I'd purchase the Acela add-on and try out the route again. The problem is whatever service I select in timetable mode with whatever loco/cabcar I select I just get a red signal at my starting station. I've tried starting from Boston, Providence, Staughton etc..... and whichever I start at I just get a red signal rather than the usual red signal turning to green. I've tried contacting the signaler but I just get a bong sound and no message displayed on the screen.


    Is this a known issue with a recent update? Because as it stands the whole route is unplayable for me as i can't actually leave my starting station.

    What platform are you on? On launch day a couple of PC players reported the same issue and it was resolved by uninstalling their mods.

    As Luke8899 alludes to, can you check you have uninstalled your mods, and trying again for me, please?

    With regard to which platform it's not just one station but every service i start no matter which station. As i mentioned i've had the same issue at all starting points...... I will check the mods I have installed although i'm not sure i have anything installed with regards to Boston and then report back either way.

    It might not be a mod directly related to Boston - (just for reference, here's the thread which discussed the red lights previously. Disabling mods solved the problem - https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/boston-providence-after-update.65211/#post-609358)

    OK I have found the cause of the issue. I had an older version of the US Route TOD mod. Once I replaced this older version with the current version I no longer have the red signal issue.


    Feel free to close this post and/or update the other post with this info in case others need it. ;)
