Just finished a run on GWE to London Paddington in the 43 in timetable mode and had an issue getting the last objective to complete. I stopped the train and opened the right side doors as usual and up to this point everything worked properly. When the load timer ran out I was instructed to lock the doors and I did so using the tab menu. The circle around the objective turned green to show it was completed but the timetable run didn't end. Instead, the "objective completed" notification in the scoreboard at the top right flashed up more than once and nothing else happened. I tried opening and closing the doors multiple times and even tried the same with the left side doors with no results. Finally I moved the train up a couple feet and cycled the doors again. This time I hit "lock both" instead of "lock right" even though only the right doors were open, and the timetable run ended. Unfortunately this means I'm not sure if moving the train up or selecting "lock both" was what made the difference in allowing it to work. I've experienced this a couple times before as well, once on Harlem with the M7 and once on NEC NY-Trenton with the ALP-46, both also in timetable mode. The only thing I can think that is similar about these trains is that I used the tab menu to close the doors on them, rather than actual cab controls that I prefer to use when possible.
This is quite common, often a service has an end time that's several minutes after the time at which you complete the final objective. Just lock the doors and either sit in your seat, or get up and wander the platform. Usually it's less than five minutes before the summary of your run pops up..
Huh, I guess I didn't even think of that. Makes sense though, I remember being probably about 5 minutes early into Paddington with the HST so it probably was coincidence that I hit "lock all" right as the end time came up. Thanks for the reply, definitely cleared up some confusion.
