James has been posting some pictures of Southeastern High Speed with sometimes clearly teasers! Photo 1: just the annoucement, with a tripple class 375, on the PIS a service to Rainham! Hi Twitter! DTG James here, and I don’t know about you, but I think it’s time for a little bit of Saturday spotting at Rochester! Kicking things off with a Cannon St express rolling in as we step off a terminating service from London Victoria, I wonder what else we’ll see today… Photo 2: just an Class 395 012 Trainbow in Rochester, buuuttt! It’s already proving to be my lucky day, the Southeastern Trainbow has arrived on a High-speed service to St Pancras! Fun fact – did you know, some Class 395 units travel over 700 miles every day? Photo 3: Class 37800 pulling some 375's out of Rochester Saturdays are always good in Medway, that means unit drags! Rail Operations Group 37800 crawls into Platform 3 with a pair of Electrostars back from refurbishment. I’ve now seen this move 7 times! Photo 4: Class 66 standing in Rochester Well I wasn’t expecting this next, an engineers train lead by 66093! Ah, according to Realtime Trains it’s running 70 mins early, that explains it… Anyway, on Traksy the next train is only a few blocks out, what do you think it could be? Ughhh! Don’t you hate it when you wait all morning to see something then get bowled? Typical! Oh well :P Happy April Fool’s Day, folks, tune into next Roadmap on April 4th and we’ll see about having a very early first look at the Thameslink Class 700/0, due for TSW3 this Summer!
More or less 700 confirmed, obviously DTG will defend themselves until an official announcement but the community are waiting DTG
Most likely, they also teased it a bit with the LAB2 screenshots, where you could see a Class 700 leaving Chatham I think! It is giving a bit of TSW3 annoucement vibes, very mysterious! We should keep an eye open on the little details!
Defenitly agree with you! I remember one, the MSB one! That one was really cool, the Dosto PIS that slowly got clear and showed the destination, but you still couldn't figure out what the route was!
I mean they're kinda pointless, people knew the Class 700 was coming months ago, this is more stalling than teasing imo
Due some leaks yeah, but still its fun imo! But they should do it with something that hasn't been leaked of course! TSW3 teaser was nice, but after a while you knew too that it would be TSW of course!
Wish teasers were post here at the forums as well. I have serious objections against the use of Twitter and Facebook and Instagram because the privacy issues this causes.
Since there was a little part already shown on a LAB2 photo, I highly doubt it'll be a April Fools joke! Still bit of a wrong date to do this true!
I would be more interested for teasers hinting at... 1. Release date for East Midlands. 2. Progress With/Release date for Peak Forest. 3. Outstanding fixes for Spirit Of Steam. 4. Some love for the older releases, bug fixes or additional content - routes like Clinchfield or indeed SoS which were released to a massive fanfare but now lie forlorn and forgotten in the back catalogue.
We will get a release date for both soon. Maybe Peak Forest will include core fixes for steam, hopefully! The stuff thats on the roadmap is WIP atm for the older routes
Yeah hopefully on Tuesdays roadmap we’ll get everything cleared up! I also hope the estimated April release for midland mainline stays, but obviously if they need to push it back then fair enoufh
I actually thought this was an April Fools Prank, Until I looked a lot closer... This is not a prank its legit wow that was unexpected, glad they are going back to teasers
I am of course happy for the release, but wouldn’t it make more sense to bring out a 700/1? The only difference (apart from the number of coaches) is that the longer 700/1 has TSOs which the 700/0 doesn’t. In other words, you can make a 700/0 unit from a 700/1 but not the other way around. Come on DTG think carefully before hitting the Commit button!
Plus, the /1 can also layer onto BML too since that's where they're primarily used, and while BML sees some /0s from what I know, they're not common. I know BML has performance issues, especially on Gen 8, but this is another reason why TSW should let us pick what layers we want active on each route imo.
Very exciting to have teasers of the much-anticipated Class 700 to TSW - looking forward to Tuesday's roadmap. I really hope it can be used for London Commuter though as it would be nice to have a lot more gameplay instead of just a 45-minute Dartford-Rainham service, so fingers crossed. Indeed, Bedford-Brighton services operate by some /0s.
Of course, though would be nice if DTG can actually confirm such with the next roadmap hopefully. Logically though, I really hope their decision to have the 700 for TSW was whether or not it could actually ever be for London Commuter, but if it couldn't ever be used due to memory etc, then I don't see the actual point of this DLC - the Brighton Main Line is the 700's home route. Otherwise, if there were ever an ECML or MML South, you'd have all the Thameslink services that go to the Brighton Main Line such as Peterborough-Horsham, Cambridge-Brighton and Bedford-Brighton - and thus it would feel odd not having such services represented in London Commuter.
There are several stations on BML that don't have any services and would be ideal for 700s, there is also a depot at Three Bridges for them. Logically they would go into BML but seeing how many services are on it already it may be easier said than done, hopefully they can be layered onto East Coastway as AI going in and out of Brighton station.
Do any of you remember back in the days when BML released and we thought it'd come as a future dlc but dtg wouldn't do it for a reason I can't remember. If only they could see that image.
Although yes the 700 Is very Anticipated, but I'm worried abt the last time DTG did the 700 for TSC.... the nightmares are still there..
