Anybody heard of the x2000 train set? Well the x2000 is operated in Sweden and made an appearance on the north east corridor during the concept phase of the Acela Express I would love to see the x2000 in the game

Related to the APT if I'm not mistaken.

I’m not sure if it’s related to the APT

It is not, the APT technology eventually was purchased by the Italians and ended up in their Pendolino (so the APT _did_ sort of end up in traffic in Britain in the end...), while the X2 has its own tilting system developed by ABB (today part of Bombardier, AFAIK)

Fiat's tilt system for the Pendolino was not derived from the APT (though no doubt it benefitted from the APT project data which was distributed freely by BR). The department of BR that developed the APT was bought by ASEA which went one to become part of Bombardier which made the X2000. Relevant section on page 34:

(I worry a bit that it's bad form to refer to an article I wrote but the ultimate source of the information is impeccable.)

I believe Amtrak did test the X2000 though it didn't acquire any.

The Acela is a sort of weird hybrid of the TGV (the traction bogies) and the VIA LRC (the intermediate cars and the tilt system)

The best value is combining it with ICE1 DB Baureihe 401 with Amtrak decals for NEC NYC New Haven as 1990s Amtrak high speed
