From My Mum's pictures, these are Trains around Mt. Fuji since she visited her Sister in Kyoto. Does anyone know what they are and the station where the pictures are taken? OHLE Voltage might be the following 25/20kv 60 Hz GE Generator Western Japan 20/25kv 50hz AEG Generator Eastern Japan. Lastly 1.5kv DC
well today i saw something rather unique! 47772 failed whilst running 5Z55 to Carnforth and so had to be pushed as far as peterborough, where the rear loco then ran around to the front! a very cool and rare move which i’m glad i was able to see.
Luckily the first photo shows the station signboard, so it's easy to tell where it is. That's the Kawaguchiko station on the Fujikyuko Line. As far as the trains go, the train in the foreground of the first photo is Fujikyu 6000 series EMU commuter train, and the one behind it is a Fujikyu 8000 series EMU used for express services. The red train in the second photo is another 6000 series EMU, but it's painted in a special 'Gaspard & Lisa' scheme.
Thank you for the information 6000 series EMU some of them are also used in Kyoto under a JR designation which would then run into Kansai Airport which was suggested here under it's express train the Haruka. In the case of the later a commuter run that gets overtaken by the Haruka.

A few photos from this morning at St Neots and Peterborough! Extra looking forward to the 700 after riding one this morning and also setting one up irl yesterday! Hoping the new DTG AC route is ecml south too
I must say that shot captures the 700s lines very nicely mate. They are very good looking for modern MUs. I am hoping for ECML soon as well!!
thanks yeah i really do hope the new ac route is ecml south, i just wanna be able to recreate my day to day in the virtual world and go even further by actually driving on the route. hoping one day i’ll be a driver for GTR but a long way to go til then anyways, here’s some more 700 photos as why not
I must be honest compared to the rest of the line it is a rather dull section to drive but because of the sheer amount of services and it's busyness (if that's a word!) it would nice to see in TSW. Good luck with your goal mate, it is a very good job to work towards. Have you already got a job on the railway or not ventured there yet?
Nice pictures, I would also love the new AC route to be ECML south as I regularly use it. I would also like to be a driver as well but for LNER not GTR because I don’t think I would be able to cope with constantly stopping and starting!!!
not yet, doing my gcses in about a month then hoping to get an apprenticeship and then up and onwards from there
see i feel like as good as my concentration is, doing intercity runs would probably bore me and i’d lose focus somewhat. that’s why in game i much prefer doing stopping/semi fast services, and it’s another reason why ecml south should be in tsw, as it has metro style services with 717s, semi fast and stoppers with 387/700 and intercity with 80x
Oh right sorry mate! There are a couple of people where I work who started on apprenticeships after their exams and are now staff on the train and very much have the potential to become drivers, so it is a good path to go down. Will you do the apprenticeship with GTR do you think?
Cool! When I seen 47772 Carnforth TMD it didn't have that badge on it. Can anyone tell me its origins.
Here’s a couple photos i took today during my day trip to the capital, all taken on an iphone 11 for anyone wondering.
A handful of photos I took of HSTs in Scotland shortly after they started in a variation of liveries if anyone wants any ideas

I have been using the northeast corridor from baltimore, md to Union station, dc and I took some videos and pictures. It includes both amtrak and marc locomotives as well as my local metro units. Featured locos include the acs64, mp36, acela, mp15 switcher, hhp8, sc44 charger with cab car and the 7000 series metro unit. Sorry for some of the images being poor quality. I will have to divide into 2 different posts due to only being able to only upload 5 at once. 0:43 0:39 https://youtube.com/shorts/8O0UaTOQJmA?feature=share 4:06 0:56 0:54
Those who love playing London Commuter might recognise this picturesque little station - this is Balcombe which has been part of the Brighton Main Line since around the 1840s, which is impressive. Nearly all of Balcombe's services nowadays are operated by Class 700s (both the /0 and /1) from Thameslink, with two trains per hour in each direction from Brighton and Bedford. All photos taken by myself During weekdays and Saturdays, Brighton-Bedford services from Thameslink serve Balcombe twice-an-hour This Thameslink Class 700/152 departs Balcombe for Brighton. As it was a Sunday, this service originated from Cambridge instead and serves Balcombe just hourly in each direction compared to the rest of the week Many services pass fast through Balcombe such as this 8-car Southern Class 377 operating a service to Brighton Another fast Southern service passes by on its way to London from Brighton on a lovely sunny afternoon Balcombe is a very quiet, but picturesque station
A couple quick video clips from the MBRRE's Valley Steam Extravaganza in Essex, CT last Fall. Sorry for the poor video quality. The lighting wasn't great and my phone's not the newest.
