Just wanted to add in a thankyou to yourself and the guys for all of the work you've been putting in!

Its definitely helped myself and a few other forum users that you've been involved with the development and been able to give us a little reassurance on certain things! Especially after your mods and your eye for detail!

Hopefully they're able to use your input for other routes too LM Thankyou for all the work!

So here's a random question specifically at you, if we was to recollect internally in our own head the mods you successfully bring are you able to share what you got over the line, and If not should we expect any future expansion packs from you just to be labels on a van lol.

Hope they're treating you well and proper chuffed your work got noticed again

 

Keep an eye out for the livestream previews. Some of my small improvements, which are usually reserved for my mods I create, may show their presence. Post patch updates could be of some interest too.

Enough talk of that before I get ahead of myself

 

Long story short, some of my mods may feature in the game officially. They’ve been noticed internally but it’s too early to discuss the specifics and as to which ones will get used etc.

All I can say is watch this space.

 

Aren't those the annoyingly noisy ones though which seem often louder than the trains you were driving. There was a very useful mod to make them silent.

It would be nice to see them animated but without the grating noise though.

Another leak. Still pre order discount is nice to see making a return, Just enough time to sneak off on the bike to Sainsbury’s (off to buy some marmalade, dear) and ferret a bit more credit in my Steam Wallet.

Both cabs are good, some nice scenery displayed and the night lighting on the depot makes you feel like you are finishing your shift and about to head home

I think the St Pancras HST photo may be misleading though as that is only available if you have SEHS. Oh well..

Haha, I told mine I'm a beta tester and got some free dlc, also helps with escaping to play when she's watching TV. "Oh there's a patch out hun, they need me to test drive this train for two hours!"

 

Yes at some point the audit will come... Then there's the tricky side of remembering where you hid all the used gift cards in order to smuggle them back out of the house to a public waste bin somewhere!

Quick question for those in the know, haven't seen this info yet: The route is Leicester - Derby & Leicester - Nottingham, but will there be also trains from Derby to Nottingham and vice versa? Do those even exist in real life on the featured route?

 

I don't know what is in the game but in real life there are 55 services per day between Derby and Nottingham. Both EMR and Cross Country run services.

 

Currently EMR states:

Not all of those are run by EMR though as XC also run the route.

 

The current trains running between Nottingham and Derby are EMR services between Newark Castle and Derby/Matlock and the Cross Country services between Nottingham and Birmingham/Cardiff.

Great to see the sounds are sounding amazing! They definitely made the right choice to get DTG's help for this one. However, there is one major issue here, and that is that the 158 sounds like idling with notch 3 or 4 revs. Hope this can be fixed pre-launch, but other than that, I can't fault the sounds.

 

That's the thing worrying me, the idling sounds on the 158 do sound more like notch 3 or 4. The passenger interior looks a tad bit, "clinicy" (if that's a word) but that's not where I will be spending much of my time, the cab does look fantastic. As long as the 158 idling sound is sorted out I think it could be a great train. HST sounds superb though, and the looks are faultless (for me!).

 

Yeah that Idle sound on the 158 is atrocious.

Also it’s insanely bright inside the trains, but I’ll just chalk that upto TSW 3’s lighting.

I’ll reserve further judgement until the stream but there’s no way I’m buying another subpar sprinter.

 

Ok looks good...but what is going on with Leicester?

 

As I said in the other thread, same sentiments. I think I now want to see and hear this in action in all notches before buying. Horn sounds offf too and the interior looks like something from TSC, very simplified model and textures. What was Day One or even pre-order now slid down the pole a bit.

 

I'm still going with the "if it's got LondonMidland's approval, it's good enough for me"

It looks like a train, it sounds like one. I'm sold

I live in Leicester, if that version of Leicester is what we get in the game I'm gonna be a bit annoyed as it doesn't look like it.

Glad to see that we’re at the point of acceleration sounds being acceptable as idle sounds.

Most of the above is just "That sounds wrong", colours are off, or two pictures of leicester that I can see no different between?

 

I mean if we need to point out that an idling train shouldn’t sound like it’s under power, then all hope is lost really isn’t it.

 

Working with 158s, that's no idle sound! Definitely in a notch and not at idle! (I'll happily whine about that!)
Sounds fine when on the move though. Otherwise not too shabby.

Oh dear, I hope that's not part of a release build. Passenger area looks about MSTS standard.

DTG rarely do justice to large cities. See Boston, Birmingham, New York etc. Can't expect the partners to do any better.

The bridge is very different, it's not closed in near the platforms in real life, there's a great big car park with no trees in real life, there's a gentle curve upon departure and not a straight line as the game depicts. There is covered cable between platforms 2 and 3, the whole area is wide and open not closed in as we see in the screenshot.
