Sort of overall head light effect, doesn’t appear to be much if any. Feels like I’m in a black hole in tunnels, especially during evening services.
The same situation is with the class 47 blu. No headligts effect in the tunnels (or on the track). Xone X version.
Hi everyone, thanks for reporting this. Would it be possible for you to provide some screenshots or a video of this issue? EDIT: Just to let everyone know, we think we have replicated the issue on PC. We will raise it further now. Details will follow. Thanks.
Are they not marker lights though rather than headlights? i.e. they are not meant to light the tunnel
In the sim now grabbing screenshots. Also noticed some weird lighting on the trees. This is the mail run service in the Class 45. Once I get to a tunnel I’ll grab a shot of what it looks like in there.
This is correct guys. UK trains don't have "headlights", they're nothing more than marker lights, to mark position. They're not supposed to be bright enough to light up surroundings...
If you think about it the signal box control the points so the driver can only go one direction, all he does is pay attention to the signals which are lit. Also by learning the route he knows where the stations are etc etc
All drivers in the UK are required to learn every square inch of a route, and are required to sign their name to confirm their understanding (and has been the case for almost 200 years). They know where every track joint, junction, hill, signal, sign post, tunnel, station, crossing, etc. is, and actually don't need to see them to know where they are - driving trains has always been about instinct and knowing what your train is doing just by listening to it and feeling what it's doing.
