The bergensbane (Bergenline) is the most scenic train route in norway, going all the way from Bergen - Oslo. With many climbs, cliffs, snowy mountains and tight tunnels it would be perfect for a realistic game like train sim world.

What im proposing is a small portion of the line (Bergen - Voss) which is a approximately 1 hour 15 minute, single track route. It is full of beautiful scenery, tight and dark tunnels, rail-side rivers and lakes and alot of amazing greenery.

-Here is a great video showing Bergen - Voss:

There are two trains in real life operating this line:

    The NSB Stadler type 74:

    And the NSB Type 69:

Alot more scenery can be found in this video:

    - I highly recommend watch the whole (if you have time) - you'll truly be amazed by the scenery.

And that is that, i think this route would fit Train sim world perfectly!

Here is a map showing the line and the stations:

Cargonet also operates on the bergen line, transporting cargo between bergen - voss/oslo.
the two main trains are the CE 119 and the EL14.

Mhm maybe, there are a few big differences, and i personally dont think the swedish railroads are as scenic as the norwegian ones, but whatever floats your boat.

    The locomotives are also different.

That would be nuts with all these scenery in a route :D I am even from Norway, so this route would be perfect. Even all the way to Ål and maybe Hønefoss. :D NSB Class 69 is no longer in use on the Voss Line, and have been replaced by the Class 75 (Local train version of class 74).

The freight trains on the Bergen Line run by the locomotives EL14 and BR185 (CE119). I don't think they use the Euro 4000. Green Cargo, which also run on the Bergen Line use the BR185, but they call it Re. Nowadays they use BR187 which they are renting from Railpool (If I'm not mistaken).

I think this would be a great route for everyone who enjoy nature and steep mountains. I would hop on trains who would run on this line in Train Sim World.

Good suggestion, and I hope this would be a reality!

Thank you for correcting me haha, i only did some quick research! ;)

Ål - Hønefoss would also be a nice addition, but then the route would be very long, and probably take ages to develop, and have a high pricetag :(

Lets hope this becomes reality then! :)
