For editing scenarios just by substituting the train in the scenario with a new one? So for example swapping out a standard scenario on the GEML by replacing the stock 360 with an AP 321. I've looked at the build option and see there is a clone option - is this the way to go?
    Thanks

I would find the scenario that you would like to change the trains in then Clone it.
When you clone it TSC calls it Copy of "scenario name" I remove the "Copy of" and add a suffix - in this case 321
Doing that will make it sort next to the default scenario when you go to play it.

If you replace the 360 with the AP 321 you might need to edit the scenario and do it that way.
Like most other stock from AP the 321 uses a unique numbering system

    Example number:
    0000032142077960
    Key:
00000 - Destination code (only 4 digits when using new dot matrix display)
    321420 - Unit number
    77960 - Coach number

If you use Locoswap then it would just change 360xxx for 321xxx and the unit might not swap correctly.
Swapping the traction in the Scenario Editor means you have to copy the instructions from one train to another.

Have a watch of this first

Locoswap lets you change the number of rolling stock.

Something worth noting that I have occasionally run into is that if you replace stock with a completely different type (and therefore potentially a different length), and that causes the stock to no longer fit on the track at it's placed location, you will get an OOM error when loading the scenario.

Thanks for that tip. Yes I'm getting familiar with the TSC "error" message! Though TBF scenarios can still be run in many cases even though a few bits and bobs might be missing. For me as a beginner it's easier to clone a scenario and change stock to something similar than to start from scratch - that's for the future.

Rather than using Locoswap or TS Tools I will change the traction in the game as shown in the video.
