Why is there only one fright service? Why is the inaccessible areas on the route map and being used for advertising? What timetable are you using?

 

Do we get buzzed in 158 by guard and have to buzz back before pulling off

 

Do AI trains display their destination or will the empty PIS bug appear in this route once again?

 

Why was the decision made for Derby Litchurch Lane and Ratcliffe power station not to be player accessible also why only one freight service in the timetable?

 

Why are we reusing the Class 43 and adding just the one extra train and not the Class 222 as well as the Sprinter? Why is the layering so poor on this timetable as others have said (1 freight service, a couple of 37 ROG stock moves (just to add without Lithturch Lane works not accessable), RHTT, and a single Railtour (hauled with the Class 66, not a heritage diesel or LMS Jubilee))?

 

1. Of the 72 playable services with the Class 158, how many are single and how many double formation?
2. Are there any AI-only non-playable services to pad out the stations?
3. Did Skyhook get any 'hands-on' with either train, or was all the work done from reference images etc?
4. Passenger behavior, is it any different in this route given persistent feedback that passengers seem to have lost their ability to get on or stay on trains for the duration of a journey? (Probably the demo itself will answer this but if there is any dev insight into what the 'route-specific' development of passengers is, and how Skyhook have handled it as their first passenger route, then it would be interesting nonetheless).

 

will there be ai services and coaching stock in depots with locos such as 47's and mk2's around East Midlands Parkway?
Are there gaps in the timetable for possible future DLC such as cross country and 222's?
Are we able to uncouple MK3's and HST powercars?
Can we use more formations of the HST in scenario planner like for example having 2 powercars without the MK3's?
Will we be able to go in the engine room of the HST?

 

Why do we have only 1 freight service? And surely it wouldn't be a big ask to grant us permission into Ratcliffe PS and Derby LL?

I've attached that their is more than 1 freight service to the power station if they are ran to the requirement that is.

 

There is a railtour with the class 45, the class 43 is very different to the 43 we get in GWE.
We also don't know about what else is layered from other routes, we may have ai services which do a lot of the freight

But to the average player a HST is a HST they don't know about the differences between the engines to them they are getting the same train again.

I doubt there will be much more detail than that as to the decision to not include more, it is what it is. Maybe a more interesting question is what exactly the supposed opportunities are?

What made you choose the route, was it suggested by the community or did you just come up with the idea internally at Skyhook?

I don't know if this is a more general question, or specific to MML, but I've read some comments that say there are a number of services that pass through the stations on this route, and without them, the route will be significantly less busy than real life.
This is obviously a conscious decision, but why?, is it purely a performance issue?, or is it more related to the time needed, or even a gameplay issue (i.e. more trains would mean the dispatcher falling over)

 

Will AI services such as Matlock-Derby and Liverpool Lime Street-Norwich and Skegness-Nottingham and Worksop-Nottingham be present. And will the Liverpool-Norwich services split and couple at Nottingham. Also will stock moves into Eastcroft and Etches Park be present.

 

The HST is a new model, with different interior cab, interior of the coaches are different and it uses VP185 sounds sourced from Armstrong Powerhouse.

What was the biggest challenge for producing this route and why.

 

1.Will the trains have features like door opening at slightly different times like on the 323?
2.Will 3rd parties be encouraged to implement features like this that already exist on DTG DLC so there aren’t as many missing features between developers?

Why choose Cummins over Perkins for the 158?

Now you have the EMT license, does that allow you do SWT as they're both owned by Stagecoach? (similar to GTR operators)

 

No matter what you say, it's not the same exact train. It's not reusing, it's remaking due to there being numerous differences to the 43 surrounding sounds physics and modeling.

It's around 37ish miles.

43 is different in sounds (vp185 variant for emt and mtu for gwr), physics and modeling. Take a listen to the ap version of the 2 variants and you will hear differences.

158 is a completely new unit in tsw so you can't compare it with anything.

There is more information about the route in the introduction article. There are 3 depots on the route and 18 stations which includes the depots.

Actually there is something to compare 158 to the Armstrong powerhouse Cummins pack on YouTube channel if you cross reference that with tonight’s stream you’ll get idea of accuracy or lack of

 

Dear Alex, My question is: Will we have Derby R.T.C A.k.a the Network Rail Depot and will we get the Class 222 as a future DLC.

 

My question is this in previous info we were told that train destinations would be set automatically like in West Midlands cross city route why in screenshots the other day is the vultron destination controller there with a list of East Midlands destinations as surely if destination’s automatically set then we wouldn’t need this list as the particular photo from other day contradicts what’s been said sk for clarity which is correct

 

Yeah, I agree. SWR if not SWT is something I think TSW needed from Day 1. I can imagine though once this route drops we'll be getting some ScotRail, Northern, SWR liverys on the 158 and 100s of liverys for the 43 as well. Now we just need to wait another century and we just might get SWT or SWR.

 

I’m not going to the ask some of the questions I do have, because I know the answer will be ‘we ran out of time’ or ‘it wasn’t in scope’ etc etc **sigh**

However, I will ask is the timetable real and achievable (not AI) and are the scenarios/services scored correctly to achieve gold medals. More and more gold less services are creeping in.

 

Will there be decent number of passengers on the stations or will they be deserted like on other UK stations? Leeds, Huddersfield, Manchester Victoria, Birmingham New Street, Glasgow Central, Glasgow Queen Street, Edinburgh Waverley, Brighton, London Victoria, Gatwick and many others are far too empty.

Yeah just look at the freight services on Derby.

 

- How many of the timetabled services are just ECS?
- How many start/end points are there for scenario planner?
- Would you consider a timetable update to make the route busier?

 

Are there any playable 158 services in this route that are fully self contained? For example in London Commuter you can go back and forth between London Victoria and Brighton as many times as you like without having to leave the map. Is there anything like this?

 

Good point and to add to your point can you do the above without having to get off trains only to have to wait for another to drive back

Yes, they've said that the GWE HST livery designer will release at the same time as MML

 

Why won't the power station be accessible? Would it not add alot more gameplay to the route especially given its already been modelled for the route?

 

Is there seasonal timetable so we can have the "jolly fisherman" HST from Derby?

 

Was there a consideration for freight AI going to and from Ratcliffe and Toton portals?
