First off, I'm playing this on my PS4 Pro as my PS5 controller is in for repair. With performance mode enabled (no 4K), the frame rate seems to top out around 25fps, with plenty of stuttering and frame drop to boot. I do understand that the PS4 Pro is now a last-gen console, but I feel sorry for anyone who has to play this DLC under these conditions. Fingers crossed the PS5 experience is better than this. Second, I got the Red Signal/Save glitch on my very first timetable, there's currently a train stuck in front of me at Newark airport. I haven't come across this bug for months and it's on the first timetable I load up here. Third, I spawned on foot in Harrison looking for the Red Bull stadium or something close to it. I couldn't find the stadium but I immediately fell through one of the floors and got stuck, requiring a hard reset. I think I found the Prudential Center (Devils' stadium) though, which is nice. Again, I'm not judging too harshly as I'm playing on dated hardware. But I'm really, really hoping the NY Penn / Trenton experience is improved on PS5.
Also, the NJT ASES tutorial appears to have been copy-and-pasted directly from the Amtrak ACSES tutorial with no modification. For example, the NJT tutorial mentions recovering from a brake penalty by moving the brake into "Suppression," when in fact there is no such setting on the NJT train (after some tooling around, I realized it is "Handle Off"). I would remind DTG that tutorials are meant to ease players with little or no knowledge into the game. Bugs are understandable, but the fact that simple oversights appear in Intro and Tutorial modes can be very discouraging to new players.
