If you enjoy the stunning views and historic sites along the Mainz to Koblenz route in Train Sim World 3, then the Koln to Koblenz route would likely make for an excellent follow-up. The route covers a distance of 96 kilometers and takes you through some of the most picturesque landscapes of the Rhineland-Palatinate area of West Germany. One of the most exciting aspects of the Koln to Koblenz route is that it runs parallel to the west bank of the Rhine for much of the journey, which gives passengers spectacular views across the region. As you travel along the route, you will be treated to breathtaking vistas of medieval towns, castles, and river barges passing serenely by. These sites are a reminder of the rich history of the area, and you will be amazed by the stunning scenery. Another highlight of the Koln to Koblenz route is the stations and hubs you will pass through. Koln is an important local, national, and international train hub, and it accommodates more than 280,000 daily travelers. At the midpoint of the route, you will find the former West German capital of Bonn, which is an essential interchange for services along the Mosel Valley to France and south to Mainz. There, you will see regular ICE trains that serve much of Germany. Additionally, the DB Museum at Koblenz-Lützel, which occupies a former depot linked to the main line, is a well-known feature of the route. There's a variety of traffic including Interegio express trains, commuter trains, and freight. Setting the route in 2000 would be an excellent excuse to bring the Interegio cab car and Br 120 to the game. Most of the trains on this route could layer with the Mainz to Koblenz route nicely. The Koln to Koblenz route would make an excellent follow-up to the Mainz to Koblenz route in Train Sim World 3. With its stunning views, historic sites, and diverse traffic, this route is sure to provide a thrilling and memorable experience for all Train Sim World 3 players. Possible Rolling Stock Br 120 in Orient Red for Interegio services: Bimdzf 269.0 cab car in Interegio Blue to go with the Br 120. Bringing the Br 120 and cab car to the game would allow for Interegio Service layers. Br 103 in Orient Red for express trains: The Br 103 in Orient Red could mix with the 103 with placards, adding more variety in color and design options. Br 140 in Orient Red for freight and commuter trains: The Br 140 could exchange with the Br 110 on freight and commuter services.
I think I would rather see the route in the modern era like it is in TS Classic, but still a very cool suggestion
Burn it on and you forgot another version of DB BR110.3 DB Baureihe 113 which operates the Autoreisezug Düsseldorf Innsbruck Verona Italian Mediterranean Coast Livorno via Linke Rheinstrecke Köln Koblenz both ways the exception is the Narbonne Düsseldorf Hbf service which would need a DB Baureihe 181.
I would probably be just as happy with the ICE-T, modern Interregio cab car, and perhaps a Vectron or Br 189 for freight. When I saw Mainz to Koblenz I wondered if they backdated the route to avoid developing the ICE-T/the Interregio cab car. The ICE T would make for an excellent tilting high speed experience. While I prefer the blue, the cab car still looks slick. We're still missing the Vectron, and it would be nice to have a shiny one. It would be especially nice to get some tank cars and container cars.
Köln-Koblenz was the first route I played in TSC and I was immediately hooked. The route brought me into the train simulation hobby, so I have fond memories of it and would love to see it in TSW. The BR120 was one of my favourite locomotives in TSC, although I prefer the newer Traffic Red livery.
...sometimes suggestions can come true! An additional DLC for LFR may be in the planning, even if it's not on the roadmap yet (greetings to Sam). I think the BR120 and the blue/white Interegio trains are a fan favourite and the BR140 is also traded as an exchange candidate for the BR110. On the subject of the ICE T: it comes from a more recent era, so it would only fit on a modern LFR route version. But therefore DRA and DCZ are good candidates. Thereby DRA can be switched to TOD4 lighting. The full adjustment of DCZ would make sense with a possible steam locomotive rail tour DLC. I don't want to mention this poster (oops, I did it again). So the rather unsuitable ICE3 can then be replaced by the more appropriate ICE T. This also applies to HBK, where it's heading towards Lübeck. But at least we have to wait for more news or announcements until autumn, because after the upcoming Peak Forest release the main focus at DTG will be on the (big) summer surprise, whatever that will be?
Sounds like an very interesting suggestion, and new old locos are happily greeted by me. And the idea of finally bringing the IC Cabcar (although in original IR livery) is a fantastic addition! One thing I would love to see would be the Br 111, which also ran in front of IR trains
All of those would be great to see. The ICE T shouldn’t be too hard as DTG has already developed two other tilting trains, and it’s about time we get the IC Cab Car
I look for any excuse to bring the IC cab car to the game. I'd pay full price for the BR 101 dlc if they unlocked it from its route and added the cab car. I think it would be a shame to only get the few retro routes we have, so a route for the BR 120 and BR 140 is very appealing to me. It just so happens that the BR 120 would feel like it was missing something without the cab car, just like the BR 101. I figure if you're not a fan of the Orient Red BR 120 and Blue IC cars, you can get a design from the creator's club and create a scenario for it on a modern route.
I agree and the BR140 can be layered from a 1980s route like Braunschweig Helmstedt Marienborn Magdeburg where the BR140 runs Helmstedt to Braunschweig Both Ways with the US Army Frankfurt/Bremerhaven Bremen-Berlin Train. East of Helmstedt a DR BR132 Ludmilla locomotive runs Helmstedt Marienborn Magdeburg with the US Army Duty train. Both locomotives can then layer to Linke Rheinstrecke 1990s and 2000.
