Normally with game pass you can save a few bucks on tsw dlc but currently on xbox there some really good tsw3 dlc sales the kind we use to see many years ago but the catch is you need game pass to get them.So this is what it we've been be reduced to by game pass and save 25% or 40% or more for example with GP.Funny i've never seen steam or play station put a extra cost in front of standard add on dlc sales. Maybe Xbox's game pass has done this kind of extra saving deal before but up until now i hadn't heard about it before now but with virtually little to no regular xbox dlc sale for many years just finally learning about this kind of opportunity now makes it seem even more depressing. Note:And before anyone chimes in NO putting the base game on sale,is not the same as a dlc sale.
I’ve never understood the reluctance to not get game pass. You can make enough back in rewards points to cover most of the monthly cost. Great way to try new games and the discount is nothing to sneeze at.
I agree. Xbox game pass introduced me to the Yakuza series which led me to buy Judgment and Lost Judgment along with Like A Dragon: Ishin. It also introduced me to the A Plage Tale Innocence and Requiem along with others. I play tsw3 using my Xbox game pass subscription and haven't bought tsw3. I'd recommend Xbox Game pass and can't see why anyone would be reluctant to use it
It's the other way around: this is an extra perk for GP subscribers. You don't get GamePass for a sale, you get it for the incredible catalog, including day one releases. The 10% discount is a perk, not a reason to buy GP. All that being said, I will renew my offer here: if someone has never tried GamePass, I have a code that allows you to try it for free, for 14 days. You can avail of the current sale, and even try the TSW3 Standard Edition (SEHSx, CJP, SKW) if you never done that.
I would say the majority of Xbox users have got Game Pass Ultimate now. It’s incredible value for money and unlocks a plethora of perks (like these sales you’re talking about). So for most people, these sales will be very helpful and appreciated. That’s just the Xbox way. If you’re really concerned about not buying DLC at full price I would just recommend getting GPU. Yes it’s a subscription service but if you make the most of it you can probably find tons of new games to enjoy that you never would have. And as others have said, you can easily make a return on it through the rewards program. I would guess the reason we don’t have many sales, is because the majority of the DLC is permanently 10% off with GPU. And please remember, it’s not DTG that decide the sales on Xbox, so don’t go bashing them for it.
I have never had a game pass. What rewards points, outside of the normal daily earnings, are available. £7.99 just to get a discount of £11 doesn’t seem worth investing in!
For just a discount, you’re right, doesn’t seem worth it. I’ve lost track tho of how many games I got to try without buying. Again, I don’t know if I ever would have pulled the trigger and joined TSW without the chance to try for free, thanks to the membership. And rewards points are aplenty, I usually earn enough for $15/month on average.

TSW sales are so rare on XBOX that it's really mean to restrict these to Game Pass subscribers. That said, it feels like an odd concept to buy DLC for a game that might leave Game Pass at any time, rendering the DLC unplayable.
I said I have a code. It came with a controller I bought. I cannot use it, because I already have GamePass. You can buy the game after it leaves GamePass, if you want to continue playing. Also, TSW2 only left GamePass when TSW3 was launched, which was on GamePass from day 1. So, if someone purchased TSW2 DLCs, they are usable with TSW3 too.
I’ll skip my usual disappointment of console sales frequency. The amount of times it’s actually been a sale and I’ve already got the items on sale or if I haven’t got the item but it’s only £3 off and something I do already have is £15 off is quite frustrating. and now game pass exclusive to add to the list… I’m not blaming anyone for this but it ain’t ideal to limit already limited sales.
I agree AtherianKing, a fairer sale would make it available to everyone one and offer game-pass users an extra 5% or 10% discount. No thought from the organiser.
The organizer is Microsoft. Their thought was simple: let's reward our loyal customers, the GamePass subscribers, with a sale. The sale is not aimed at giving you cheaper content, is to get more people subscribed to GamePass.
What about those of us who pony up 60.00 bucks a year for xbox live gold why don't get some deals for TSW dlc as well. I think there forgetting another loyal group when it comes to TSW sales.
There are XBox Live sales all the time. They might not always include TSW content, but I think we get one of those every month. They are called Deals with Gold, and there's a permanent link on the xbox.com portal.
