I am planning on going all day on friday and hopefully in the afternoon on Saturday (spending it at Swanage Station).
If you are look for someone in a Mercedes Lewis Hamilton White Hoodie. Thats me ( or avoid me if you want lol). Anyhow hope to see some of you there.
    Oh and these are there this weekend (69004* & 73126) along with 31128, 37703, 44004, 46095, 25262, 50026, 33012, 33111

*69004 is on static display raising funds for GBRF's chosen charity supporting people with Prostate Cancer

So I paid a visit to the GBRF Charity stand at Swanage today and for a £60 donation (which I suggested) I picked up the 317 data panel Class 66 data sticker, Danger Overhead live wires sticker and the two GB Railfreight keyrings. Its a worthy charity that GBRF are raising money for. My mate who was younger than me at the time died from Prostate Cancer. The books were bought from "The book wagon" (i think its called) at Corfe Castle station, for an ongoing project I am working on. I was only too pleased to make the donation. When I left the Class 317 horns were still there!!
I also paid £5 (which went to GBRF's charity) to basically cab the 69. Like I said in my previous post its something that I don't have a problem donating too. To say I was like a kid in a candy store sat in the drivers seat I was just wanting the reverser handle to put in although nothing would have happened as the batteries were isolated. I got a nice GBRF 66741 Swanage Railway mug as well. I always seem to comeback from Swanage diesel Galas with numerous mugs or glasses.
I would like to say well done to GB Railfreight for bringing the 69 to the gala and allowing people to be able to cab it.

I quite enjoyed the Gala. the first one for me since 2019.

    Regards
    Hentis

Cool. What was the cab of the train that looked like a 66. I am planning to go on to the one in a few weeks. Found the service going there on RTT on the 10th. https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:H36646/2023-05-10/detailed. You going this year?
