A button to resume your last played scenario, rather than having to remember and trawl through lists. A randomiser so the game picks a route and run at random you haven’t done before, thus avoiding the sitting there looking at all the content unable to decide what you actually want to play.
Sounds great, But. A list of saved games, sorted by save timestamp descending (newest first) sounds better to me. Plus the ability to remove the save. I might be running 2-3 scenarios at once: starting a free roam, then saving a scenario. More importantly, whenever starting a scenario from the editor, it automatically creates a save game, so it will always default to that. A button that highlights a random scenario, meaning I just have to press play. Starting it can be a bit scary as I may need to consult a manual or somesuch, even as a veteran of eight years I don't trust myself fully. Once the game can handle more scenarios, I'd rather have a solution similar to the build menu where I can see all scenarios (for a route) in a single list, instead of being spread across multiple tabs. Heck, the save game is also just a flag. Might even welcome the ability to highlight last scenario played. Sorting is even better. What I normally do, I pick a DLC and play its scenarios a few times. I also play a free roam, and finish the whole thing with a workshop. One quirk with the sort is that it only works for a route once I played its scenarios, I still have to fish for the rest. But highlighting the scenario, then sorting by route / DLC could work.
That should go to sugggestions thread. Remember you can mark a scenario as favourite to appear on top of the unfiltered list, which is a workaround. Just mark it after playing.
I absolutely love the idea of a randomiser for routes to play on! I have a lot of DLC now and I have a hard time figuring out what to play. So I just went ahead and made a random spinner wheel of all my trains that I have in Career mode and that's been giving me an excellent variety of stuff to play so this is an excellent idea and I would love to see a system like that officially implemented.
