    Hi,

havent managed to find enough info on the internet, or in the videos, so I am turning to this forum for a possible issue... or an update I have missed?

So here it is - before, when I turned on the master key, the speed indicated was 15 and then when I put the reverser to forward, it adjusted to 70 (speaking of services starting at NY Penn), so looks like it was dependent on reverser... played it a couple weeks later, and now when I turn the master key on, it already switches to 70

So my question is, was that behavior before a bug/glitch and now it got fixed or what is the correct behavior? I mean, yea, after passing the first signal it adjusts again, but I would like to know, since I cant find specific info pretty much anywhere

As for ATC, now it does beep only when overspeeding the ATC limit?

So is it just my head messing with me, or is it a real bug or sth? If you have links to some update info explaining this, would be much appreciated :)

I'll ask one of my friends who is an Engineer regarding the behavior in relation to the position of the reverser, but a 70 code when leaving Penn Station sounds incorrect. There are two speeds displayed on the Aspect Display Unit, the cab signal indicator and the track speed indicator. The speed displayed on the cab signal indicator is in simple terms, the signal speed and should correspond to the maximum speed permitted according to the signal governing the track your on, while the track speed is basically the speed limit for that section of track and is received from transponders installed within the gauge of the rail. For example, let's say your operating on a section of track where the maximum authorized speed is 80 but your approaching a Restricting Signal, your track speed would be 80 but the 15 on the cab signal indicator would have the 15 illuminated. On the contrary, let's say your operating over a section of track where the maximum authorized speed is 30 but your approaching a signal with an aspect of Clear, the 55, 60, 65, 70 or 80 would be illuminated on the cab signal indicator but the track speed would be 30. There are some exceptions to this where the cab signal indicator also enforces track speed, and I believe Penn Station and the East River tunnels are one of those exceptions, which is why I believe you should get a 15 code leaving Penn Station, then a 60 code once you reach the tunnels. For information, there is a 45 mph speed restriction for M3's only when operating in line 4 of the East River Tunnels and it's most likely going to be reduced to 40 mph in the near future. Because the M3s are wider than the rest of the LIRR's rolling stock, they have a tendency to sway and hit the bench wall in line 4 when operating at higher speeds.
