Red Signals And Service Failure.

    It's far too harsh as it is. Do real train drivers get fired for stopping 2 metres over a red signal?

    Maybe instead of failing, the emergency brake kicks in, like it does for real.... this is supposed to be simulation is it not?

    Usually, they will be taken off the service like the game represents.

    But it would be better if it at least brought you to a stop first.

    A driver who passes a signal at danger is taken off the train, gets tested (alcohol/drugs) and can expect a talk with their supervisor without tea and biscuits. If it happens repeatedly, they'll likely face termination.

    If the SPAD was not caused by the driver (but by the signaller, sudden infrastructure failure, or unexpected poor adhesion) there won't be disciplinary actions against the driver.
