Welcome to the Unofficial Screenshot Competition
This is a fun and friendly alternative to the official Screenshot Competition run by DTG.
Here you can share your weekly themed TSC screenshots using any 3rd party / post shot editing etc. creations which are not allowed in the official competition.
    Rules:
    • TSC only shots allowed.
    • Screenshot should be in some way (can be very tenuous) linked to the theme. Otherwise anything goes.
    • You can enter up to 3 screenshots, posted as separate posts. You can delete and replace if you wish.
    • 3rd party content / Reshades / Reskins etc. are welcomed but are not mandatory.
    • Previous week's winner to decide winner (can't enter themselves).
    • The winner chooses the new theme for next week (and becomes the new judge).
    • The Judge of the week's decision is final.
    • We strongly discourage any negative comment or criticism of another entry by a fellow contributor, this is a light hearted & fun contest! This is a major "we are all friendly" thread and we hope it will always remain so.
    • Please keep chat to an absolute minimum.
Entries will close at 9:00 PM GMT on Friday, May 5th and will be judged by me - cscarpenter

In the event of this weeks winner not responding by 5:00 PM GMT Sunday, May 7th, a new thread will be created using the theme with the highest votes in this weeks poll.

In honour of us folks here in the UK having the Coronation of King Charles next weekend.
This weeks theme is "A RIGHT ROYAL CELEBRATION".

Feel free to interpret the theme however you wish, e.g. Celebrating 100 years of American Railroading, Celebratory liveries of any kind, the unveiling of a restored Loco etc. etc. it's entirely up to you.
Good luck to all, but most importantly, remember to have fun.

Most definitely on both accounts.
Obelix may I suggest you delete your 1st post (#10) as you are only allowed 3 shots and it looks like you have duplicated it with post #12
    Many thanks.
P.S. loving the contributions so far.

    Sacramento Northern - Toronto PCC
2023 marks 85 years from when the PCC streetcars entered service in Toronto, they were withdrawn in 1995.

    Goose Island - CN M420
Goose Island last saw a train in 2017 and the tracks that access the area have been paved over in certain sections. CN withdrew their M420's in 1998. (years might be a little off)

In 2022, to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, 34027 Taw Valley received a new coat of paint and was renumbered 70 to honour the occasion. Here she is seen steaming out of Wolverhampton on the WCML. (BMG Rebuilt Light Pacific)

BOOM, tis 21:00hrs so now I can reveal my podium choices for this week.
Must admit it has been a bit quiet this week with contributions, not sure if that is down to my choice of theme or down to the other shenanigans that have been going off with TSC or a combination of both.
Either way my allocation of podium places are :-
In Joint 3rd place and shared bronze medal are Blazin & Craigie-c for these wonderful captures
    [IMG]
Runner up and Silver podium place goes to :-
TripleJ814 for this beautiful retro shot of 85 years of Sacramento streetcars .
Finally I Award the Honour of winner of week 18 and the new owner of the golden Master key to ....................
Obelix for this cracking shot of Coronation Class Duchess of Sutherland.

Ticks every box for me, well done

Congratulations Oblex! 1st entry in a comp & a win!! Nice one.

Copy & paste the original post at the top here, edit the title & message body for dates & times of the end of the next comp, don't forget to pic a new theme & edit that too! TBH when I win I don't bother with adding a poll should the winner not respond as it's usually freestyle theme anyway. Any more questions just ask.

Congratulations to the other podiums! Great shots this week!

Cscarpenter - tbh I struggled with the royal theme, I don't have many royal trains to fit the bill & the other one I had refused to work properly, not to worry the theme choice was a good one & fitting with the weekends events.

Congratulations on your first win, well deserved.
What you need to do is :-
    1. Think of a theme you would like to see shots of. (Suggest try to keep it wide as possible to include all)
    2. Open a new window and click on https://forums.dovetailgames.com/forums/creation-centre.42/
    3. Create New Thread
    4. Copy and paste the title and Rules etc from the last thread into your new one.
    5. If you are really struggling I am happy to post the new thread on your behalf, just let me know what theme you would like.
Welcome aboard, great to have new contributors onboard

Sorry Paul, shame this theme didn't float your boat. Not sure if you realised but I did say ..............
Any celebration of anything was up for grabs, maybe you missed that bit.
Hey Ho, here's to next week thanks for your continued support

Thank you for kind words. Done, I hope I did the topic right. Some questions about judging.
    1) Since I'll be deciding the winner, I guess I can't participate in this contest, right?
    2) The winner is decided by what I like regardless of the number of votes?

Yes you cannot participate in the contest if you are judging, if you want you can share your own screenshots if you want to show what you would submit but just label it to let people know it won't be counted as you're the judge. I don't mean to force you to judge a certain way or anything like that, but yes please don't judge based off of likes. It's much better when the judge just picks what they think is best based on their own personal opinion. Can't wait to participate in your weeks thread. :)
