I was hoping that today’s steam patch would solve the service failures I keep getting when driving a steam locomotive (not route dependent). The first run I tried today: scenario ‘reliving history’ (West Cornwall Local), I again got a service failure appr. 2 miles after the first stop on the bridge. Anyone else experiencing this? I have TSW3 PS5 version with all DLC installed.
Second run I tried (Through Freight: Edge Hill - Bushbury, Spirit of Steam). Again for no apparant reason a service failure. No red lights in the vicinity. What am I doing wrong? For me all the steam routes are unplayable Again: 1S99: the spirit of steam (SEHS), appr. 9 miles from Faversham.
If you're on manual firing, and not putting coal in the fire by manually opening the firebox - your fire is going out. Quick way to prove this is to switch to auto firing and see if the problem goes away. Matt.
I had the same issue, could not finish a run without getting the service failure message. Had my Steam Firing on assisted and was advised to put it on auto firing and that fixed the issue
I thought I had automatic turned on in the settings, but it turned out to be on assisted. Resetting to automatic helped. Thanks. Problem solved.
Awesome great to hear that's working for you! Assisted still leaves you in control of the loading of coal - so that would explain what's going on there. Matt.
