Turns out this person was called out on Facebook by Des (one of the developers) as there are no 21Ib Bass in the game, biggest is just under 16Ib
Just under 16lbs? I've caught a 16lbs on Lake Williams doing a single player tournament. My biggest bass so far https://i.imgur.com/d3mj4Zn.png
Which is sad, as the southern lakes in the USA in real life bass can get to over 20lbs and do quite regularily, the bass in the northern lake do not get as large, I would hope that the Devs would use the historical records of the lakes being used to set the max size. After looking up the state records for Largemouth Bass. For NY the state record is 11lbs 4 oz., for Florida 17lbs 4 oz. for Tennessee 15lbs 2oz and California is 21lbs 12 oz. The current record for Georgia, very near to Florida is 22lbs. It is feasible that these real life records will be broken and probably already have.
iirc I seen this one youtube vid of a guy catching a 25lbs bass (not sure how legit the vid was) But I know they can get rather large in some lakes. I've caught up to 6 lbs here in Michigan. 11lbs is the state record here.
I know U.S Bass can get well into the 20's in some parts of the U.S. & I suspect they will add a lake with those size fish at some point. Just under 16Ib being the biggest Bass in the game was correct at the time of that post
When developing the lakes we use the state records for where the lake is based to determine how big the fish will go up to.
With me and one other catching a 16 pound fish mine was 16 lb 2 oz it makes you think you have to be able to break the record. Thats the point of records. I was told 15 and something was the maximum. I was to say the least blown away. It felt real it was a surprise. It was cool. Edit: ended up playingan extra 2 hrs instead of going actual fishing because of that experience.
