Welcome to the Unofficial Screenshot Competition This is a fun and friendly alternative to the official Screenshot Competition run by DTG. Here you can share your weekly themed TSC screenshots using any 3rd party / post shot editing etc. creations which are not allowed in the official competition. Rules: TSC only shots allowed. Screenshot should be in some way (can be very tenuous) linked to the theme. Otherwise anything goes. You can enter up to 3 screenshots, posted as separate posts. You can delete and replace if you wish. 3rd party content / Reshades / Reskins etc. are welcomed but are not mandatory. Previous week's winner to decide winner (can't enter themselves). The winner chooses the new theme for next week (and becomes the new judge). The Judge of the week's decision is final. We strongly discourage any negative comment or criticism of another entry by a fellow contributor, this is a light hearted & fun contest! This is a major "we are all friendly" thread and we hope it will always remain so. Please keep chat to an absolute minimum. Entries will close at 9:00 PM GMT on Friday, May 12th and will be judged by me - Obelix In the event of this weeks winner not responding by 5:00 PM GMT Sunday, May 14th, a new thread will be created using the theme with the highest votes in this weeks poll. Theme for this week : LANDSCAPES Feel free to interpret the theme however you wish. We look forward to seeing the beautiful scenery taken at TSC. The train doesn't always have to dominate the picture. Good luck to all, but most importantly, remember to have fun.

Congratulations to all the winners and I look forward to the next competitions.
It says there - " 1. place - GOLD MEDAL Craigie - C and his picture LMS 6100 "The Royal Scot" heads a Mallaig bound west highland railtour service past Loch Eil on a misty Autumn morning."
Obelix I don't think you have grasped the concept of how this competition runs. It is not decided on the most likes, it is up to you as Judge for the week to chose your top 3 favourites and announce them accordingly. Have a look back at previous weeks and you will see what I mean.
But I get it. These are the pictures I like, regardless of the likes. Are you not allowed to put 2 pictures in the same position?
What pictures? As far as I can see you haven't announced any winners. The only thing you posted yesterday was one word CLOSED Am somewhat confused ???
Oh, I guess it's obvious. You don't see it. The post has a note: " This message is awaiting moderator approval, and is invisible to normal visitors." Who is moderator?
Last time I had a post treated like that - a list of links to screenshot competition threads - it disappeared after a short while entirely. Just simply announce the winners I suppose. You can reply-to without quoting the pictures as well. I have no idea what exactly triggers such a protection.
OK, Winner announcement without pictures 3rd place is shared 3. "I'm a railfan" obviously and his picture Route: Chatham Mainline & Medway Valley Lines Train: Class 59, Class 375. A wintery scene for those people who miss winter. 3. "Blazin" and his picture Kerr Stuart Tattoo Class 'Peter Sam' leads a 2 coach long passenger train around a bend with an incredibly scenic view of the lake and surrounding mountains on the Skarloey Railway. 2nd place is shared too 2. "bellminsterboy" and his picture A new SBB RABe 501 tackles the Gotthardbahn in the spectacular Swiss Alps. 2. "Craigie -C" and his picture A DB BR218 hauled crane on a rescue mission winds it's way through the beautiful pine tree lined Black Forest on the Hausach - Konstanz Route 1. GOLD MEDAL "Craigie - C" and his picture LMS 6100 "The Royal Scot" heads a Mallaig bound west highland railtour service past Loch Eil on a misty Autumn morning. The picture has a wonderful mood and a special light. It strikes me as if it were painted by an impressionist painter. This is really good.
Thank you Obelix, I'll take a 2nd place podium anyday. Well done to everyone who competed, the finalists, and of course Craigie-C on 1st place
I think I see whats happened, what we usually do is download our favourite pictures/all the pictures to our own device, choose 3 or whatever you like winners & then re-upload (not links) in the appropriate order, I think due to the links you included in your post rather than re-uploading the images your post got withheld for moderation. Hope that helps!
Aaaaahhhhh, that explains it. Many thanks for the win, much appreciated. If it helps I just copy and paste my chosen winning shots into my final choice post and add the appropriate text. looks like you fell fowl of the "DTG too many links " syndrome. No worries thanks for your swift response. Best wishes
